Evening all,

So the primary went out 24 hours ago and the results are below.


First a note on process. At the beginning of the month when I ran for PP I stated that only members who were there at the previous election would be able to vote in the following. This is for security reasons (to prevent players moving on the day and distorting the primary). In the end 72 of 81 members were eligible to vote.

I hope players who joined us too late this month to participate understand that this security is aimed at increasing the representation of the party by minimising outside influences, and isn't a slight to you! You can of course vote in the actual PP elections on the 15th and I hope you will 🙂




Results:




As you can see KieranB won the vote with 81%, Coltan Bonobo came second with 9.5% and Norris Bush and Winston came tied 3rd with 4.75%. (Chart can't do maths). Remaining candidates did not receive any votes.

Whats next....


I'd like to thank all participants for entering, unfortunately this hasn't been the best month for new members and I'd like to apologise if you have felt slightly marginalised by the security concerns.

I would like to request that all candidates other than KieranB un-candidate themselves.

This month is going to be particularly dangerous and potentially messy across all PP elections. If KieranB, having won the primary, runs alone our party is safe for the month in line with its vote. But even if the field is reduced the election is simpler with less chance of splitting votes.


Finally I want to implore everyone to vote in the PP elections! If possible hold you vote until later in the day when it is clearer where it is needed. If you want to know where your vote can help the ATO most ask in feeds, on IRC at #euk.

Otherwise vote KieranB and fingers crossed for good month month ahead 🙂
