[MoHA] Meet the Ministries (October 2010)
eUK Home Office
Ministry of Home Affairs
Minister: Dodgy Dude
This month’s Ministry of Home Affairs has incorporated the former Ministry of Communications. This means the MoHA deals with both cultural (entertainment, media, gifting, recruitment) and communications (education, wiki, PMing, mentoring). MoHA is always very big and busy, and probably is the best place to start out in if you want to get involved in a ministry.
Ministry of Foreign Affairs
Minister: Jamesw
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs deals with international relations. This includes reports on other countries, maintaining communications with Phoenix, and looking into making connections with the rest of the world.
Ministry of Finance
Minister: Thatcher
The Ministry of Finance deals with the Bank of England and creates the eUK budget. MoF attempts to maintain monetary and economic stability in the markets, including monitoring and regulating the monetary markets. Since MoF deals with the budget, they also handle with the monetary transactions of other ministries.
Ministry of Trade
Minister: Blaggard
The Ministry of Trade deals with foreign markets and economic transactions. This includes monitoring foreign markets to find the best deals, both for imports and exports. Trade deals are formed with other countries through MoT.
Ministry of Legislative Affairs
Minister: Darkmantle
The Ministry of Legislative Affairs deals with legislative issues in the House of Commons. This includes setting up discussions and voting, along with monitoring public discussion. The MoLA is also in charge of creating a Congressional Report, which gives the public information on proposals and Congressional voting records.
Ministry of Technology
Minister: draaglom
The Ministry of Technology creates technological advancements for the benefit of the eUK. This includes creating hubs that are accurate and well maintained. Limiting downtime is essential for many tasks, especially in the military.
