[MoFA] Double Interview and Ambassadors Report #2

Day 2,399, 08:32 Published in United Kingdom North Macedonia by Foreign Office

Tonight we will have double interview, with the new MC of Sirius, Count Drakula and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey, urban cohort. Other than that, we will have an ambassadors update, as well as a member of the ambassadors program has been promoted to a deputy Minister. To see who it is, you’ll have to scroll down! 😉

Interview #1 - An interview by Angela Williams
Count Drakula
Military Commander of Sirius

Can you just tell us a bit about you?

I’m Count Drakula and I’m the current Sirius Military Commander. I’ve done various different things in the past in both the eUK (various terms as MoD, MoFA, MoF and CP) and the alliance (previous MC and advisor). I don’t really like these kind of questions, if anyone wants to get to know me better then they are free to find me on #eUK and query 🙂

What did you think of your last term as MC?

It was the first term of Sirius working together so I think it went both well and bad. There was (and still is now) a good friendly feel to the military channels of Sirius which I think shows how good friends the countries of Sirius are. In terms of what actually happened in my term, I think breaking the Serbian empire via RW campaign and large focus on that was definitely a good point. Obviously, this came at the expense of others

What are you goals and aims for this term?

I can’t really say what my goals and aims are militarily, it’s both kinda obvious and kinda confidential at the same time. One aim I can definitely say, I want to make sure that Sirius does all that it is capable of doing. Whether that is in terms of organisation or damage, I want Sirius doing the best that is possible.

Where do you see Sirius in a months time?

Probably similar to where it is now, but hopefully in somewhat of a better shape. I can’t really predict the future of the alliance but I am pretty sure it won’t have collapsed. Maybe everything will be exactly the same. Maybe Asteria will have collapsed and we’ll be in an entirely different alliance cycle. Nothing is for certain really, a lot can change in a month with the right attitude.

I'm sure most of our readers haven't been inside HQ so what do you actually have to do?

Being involved in eRepublik at an international level isn’t as hard as a lot of people make it out to be. I have to be on IRC as much as I can be (no life yes 😛 ) to ensure orders are up to date and that battles are being won. It involves a lot of talking too with foreign players as well as meetings and planning future strategies so it’s a fairly rounded job.

If you could be any animal what would it be and why?

To be honest, I’ve never really thought about it. My favourite animal for a long time has been cats but I don’t think I’d be a cat if I was going to be an animal. Maybe I’d be a vampire bat to suit my name on here 😛

Interview #2 - An interview by Kapten Johnson
urban cohort
Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey

For those in the UK who doesn't know who you are, could you tell me a bit about yourself and your Erepublik career?

I'm almost-4-years-old player. Joined the game when Phoenix, Eden was around. During these 4 years I didn't think to involve myself in politics and became congress member just once. But for 2 months my friends have been forcing me to become MoFA. Because they couldn't find someone else I think. Once I'm done with it, I will return to my good old trolling days.

What would you say is the overall feeling towards UK from Turkeys perspective?

I know UK from the Phoneix times. I met Alfagrem and 7th Armored Division. In my opinion the relations between UK and Turkey is not about damage. You are always there when we need help. It is just good to be an ally with UK. I felt really happy when we became an ally again after a long time. But I can't say a name from UK is well-known in Turkey. People don't know a lot about you.

What would you say would be a good way to change that, people not being known in our respective country?

Before I would say organizing operations that MUs from both side could participate can do that. But now it is almost impossible. Community is dying. Nothing comes my mind about it 😛 May be introducing the other side with published articles would do the job.

Have you heard of the NSPP?

North Sea Protection Pact, I don't exactly know what it is but saw it on some articles. I think it was the one which your MoD published, I don't know much about it but heard it.

Here in the UK, Sirius is getting some negative feedback. What is the publics view on Sirius in Turkey?

It's complicated. Some of the players think we can invade the whole world just by ourselves. But a lot of players are aware of importance of the alliance. We also had deep relations with the members before the foundation of Sirius. We don't have any home except Sirius. Also popularity of the alliance in a country generally have paralism with how well the country itsel goes, which applies to Turkey as well.

What would you say is the current main issues in Turkey?

We've focused on Hungarian wars for a while. It affects our economy in a bad way. To get them to leave the UAE regions is the first priority for us. Also these wars prevent us to fight for our allies.

Anything else you would like to add, to finish off the interview?

I will try to find free time to an interview with you. 😛 That's all I think.
