[MOF] Day 2,026
Bank of England
Hello everyone and thank you to Mr Woldy for giving me the opportunity to showcase my talents as the Minister of Finance for this term, I hope to show that newer players can shine if given a chance. o>
So let's get straight to business.....
It is my belief that the finance department is somewhat a closed book to the eUK public due to the nature of the beast i.e. it is hard to allow too many people to get involved due to the fact that our financial assets are put at risk with each new person added to the department, however I hope to transform the whole department during this term and really transform the way the public view the financial side of the game.
Week 1, Agenda:
1) Secure all Government Organization's, record our total assets and make the data openly available to all interested parties.
2) Invest £1,000,000 on the Money Market using a total of 28 Organizations, with each offer being posted 6 hours after the last.
3) Publish a full monthly financial budget based on our expected income and expenditure.
4) Upload a new external finance website to the Internet to encourage public interaction with the finance department.
5) Open a new Government Bank to encourage people to save their money, this money will be used on the Money Market alongside the Governments money as highlighted in point 2.
As you can see I am going to need a little bit of patience from everyone just to get everything in order but once the first weeks agenda has been implemented we can then look at further developing the department to include such things as Gold loans for Training upgrades, business groups, tax debates and much much more.
For now I will leave it at that but please be assured I am hoping to bring a whole new level of structure, transparency and public interaction to the finance department to help improve the game play quality of all those who like the economy side of the game and I will be looking to get more people involved in future articles.
Have a profitable day!

Voted. Good luck. It's a great idea but an awful lot of work for you.
Good to see an update, given that we've won wars against Ireland, Germany and Denmark since the last one.
MoF Update... Christ someone show this thing to Butjam 😃
Well done B&H
Meh', I got busy. I kept us cost neutral throughout my entire tenure, not so bad considering we actually did alright in all of those wars.... nobody reads or cares about the updates anyway, it's just another excuse to moan about something if they're not done. To prove nobody reads them, I listed 60,000cc as the "Sir Scott WIlliamson Memorial Fund" and it has never been mentioned except by myself.
people do read the reports, shows how much you know or have learned during your "tenure"
The fact you didnt steal all our money is a relief, you are a well know cheat and bought your account - not to be trusted
Yawn, I don't even know what your beef with me is, unlike most people I treat you as that lovable dickhead, I wouldn't vote for you but that's a difference in policy, nothing else...
If people read the reports, they'd get more votes. People are much more interested in party politics and positions and will (and do) use even the MoF as an area to try and gain ammo to chuck about. Do we really need weekly updates? No, not really, what we need is a public gdoc which everybody can view (I did have one of those and nobody looked at it after it was released) and then occasionally a big summary of all the boring work the minister is doing behind the scenes to keep things ticking over and to explain the spending policy. People may push for guides and the like from the ministry but the economy is so simple (The reason people don't make money is because of a saturated, investment lacking market, not the difficulty) that really those should fall to the MoHA or similar areas. Invest in WRM if you can't afford the gold to go up to Q6/Q7 and consider doing some personal money market trading is all you really need, that and don't blow your gold on anything but training grounds. It's not much of an article in my eyes and should just be tacked onto a comprehensive guide for babies, get the MoF to write it if you wish
