[MoComms] Working and Economy Changes

Day 1,033, 12:02 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by eUK Home Office
Yet again, the admins have made major changes to the economic module, which means we need to work out the new economy and inform the public how to get a job and work in the revised module. I hope that this guide will help you do these things and help you maximise your productivity, which will mean you can contribute more to the eUK economy

The major change that occurred was the removal of professions, and the combining of work skills into just one skill for all companies.

Getting a Job
First you need to find your work skill:

Once you have found this out it is time to get a job, try to get the highest paying, lowest quality job.
The company quality affects how much wellness you lose working for it per day, so unless you can afford the extra food, work for Q1 companies only.

1. Quality is indicated by the number of stars.
2. Salary per hour is how much you will earn per hour. This will start off quite low, however the higher level you get the higher your salary will be.
3. This as you can see is the Optimum Job, the highest paid job with the lowest quality, meaning it gives you the best bang for your buck, in terms of food purchasing.

Thanks to Valorum for the screenshot.

1. First select the number of hours you wish to work. Do not work for too many hours as you will lose one happiness per hour, meaning that you could lose a lot of happiness over time, which would reduce your employability and wage. For more info see this recent Article.
2. Select your Booster (unless you are a very high skill it isn't worth using any paid for boosters)
3. Click work.

You should try and work daily because if you work 30 days in a row you will get a treasure map, which contains hard to come by gold. You can also train your work skill in the library, by just choosing your hours and selecting a booster. You will lose 1 health and 1 happiness per hour of studying. You also get a maximum of 4exp per day for working and studying, helping you level up quicker. Remember that by working hard and earning high wages you are funding the eUK's wars and ministries that make the eUK what it is today.
