[Kongress] Hope Is...

Day 2,861, 15:52 Published in USA Japan by Nohime
This is our moment
Will you stand with me?
Hope is not lost, love is not lost
Let the strength of your words
Be the spark that ignites the flame
Proclaim your freedom
Give voice to your liberation
This is my confession
Mark these words, we will rise

Hello Socialist Freedom Lollies,

Yes, I’m looking at you.

You are awesome. It has been an honor to represent you in Kongress this past month; and it was a BUSY month.

First I would like to thank the Black Sheep Party for running three of our parties players, as well as, the Speaker of the House (Orikfricai) and his staff for running a fair show all around. Without our Baaaa-ing friends we would not have had the opportunity to conduct party business on a national level. Also, without a fair and hospitable SoH leader and staff we would not have made such headway on discussions that more than often turn into poo slinging fests.

Second, I would like to thank the IES Director (Deepchill) and his staff for working hastily and diligently in making our country better, specifically, accepting productive new citizens who then joined the rest of us Socialists which grew our overall party number as high as 135 for the month. Their hard work and dedication has broken new ground for higher standards that may yet make our nation even greater in the Legislative branch.

Third, I would like to thank Jude Connors and my friends from the SFP for putting up with my crap.

Where do we go from here?

Well, for the first time since its creation the Socialist Freedom Party will be eligible to participate as a top 5 party and have its own gorgeous congressional ballot of lollies!!!

(Pat yourselves on the back now, but don’t get too comfortable there is plenty of fighting to be had.)

Lastly, this past month, once again, the 15% Work Tax was a hot topic. On September 2nd, the Black Sheep Party led a vote to lower the Work Tax from 15% to 10%. Unfortunately, with 16 yays vs 25 nays and 1 abstention, it did not pass.
On September 17th, an attempt was made again to lower the Work Tax, but this time from 15% to 12%. Unfortunately, with 16 yays vs 19 nays and 2 abstentions, it did not pass. But if you’re an optimist you’ll see that there were less nays this time around.

You will also notice the consistency in how the party lines are split among the top 5 parties. THIS CAN CHANGE.

It's not time to throw in the towel. Instead of moping around hoping it will be lowered please understand that those who are fighting to get it lowered need more help! The difference maker is as close as getting the two parties that are all for lower taxes in the top 5 parties. We cannot do it alone!

As I mentioned earlier in this article [Change] Fixation on the darkness:

Join The Black Sheep Party

or
Join The Socialist Freedom Party
http://www.erepublik.com/en/party/socialist-freedom-party-3653/1

If both of our parties are in the top 5, then we will amount the votes needed to do this for you.

Last but not least I would love the honor to represent our party again this September 25th for its first ever ballot of congressional candidates. Let’s continue our successes and have a phenomenal month!
