[Gen Slim] Take It With a Grain of Salt

Wassup Everybody?
You probably don't know who I am, considering the fact that I'm a new player and I haven't really talked to anybody yet. For the past week or so, I've been two clicking and keeping up on current events here in the eUK. Recently, you guys held a peace summit, or something along those lines. I personally could not attend, and I was to young when it was time to fill out a petition to know what was going on here in the eUK. Now that I know what is going on here in the eUK, I would like to let you all know how I feel.
Before you all question my credibility due to my young age, I would like to inform you I am a former eRepublik player. I played for the eUSA around 8-12 months ago. I didn't remember what my eRep email or pass was, so I decided to start over here in the eUK. eRepublic has changed a lot since I last played. I remember when Germany or France (I forget) conquered the eUK. I also remember when Poland liberated the eUK. I also remember when you were able to get a Battle Hero medal for 30k damage, 50k tops. Now, you're lucky if you can find one for 300k. I guess that is what happens when Plato gets trigger happy and gives everybody large amounts of weapons of mass destruction.
I'm going to stop sounding like my grandfather when he is reminiscing about the good ole' days and get on with the article.
Here is a short list of my grievances and my commentary on them.
1. Unity
In order for a country to be great, it needs to be unified. It needs to run like a machine, everybody, every party, and every military unit needs to be in sync. Currently, that is not the case.
I would like to reference the incident Big Ant caused on Christmas morning. He made a boo boo, a big boo boo as a matter of fact, that is clear. I know it, you know it, he knows it. Big Ant manned up and lived up to his mistakes. He apologized to everybody involved and kissed the boo boo, effectively ending the problem.
I do admit that what he did was wrong, and him apologizing does not in any way justify what he did. But, just because he did something wrong does not mean everybody needs to start mud slinging. When people start mudslinging, the unity of the country is compromised. Due to unnecessary mudslinging, TUP not only vowed to cut off Big Ant until he apologizes, but they also, "won't help anymore to keep UK reputation safe". Due to those comments, people are mud slinging back at TUP, and it's a giant mess.
If you want to punish Big Ant, don't compromise the Unity of the eUK. Elect somebody else next month.

2. Vote Buying
As you all know, through massive propaganda, the party New Era secured 10 seats in Congress this month. I personally have no problem with parties and Military Units posting articles to keep their members informed. It's when they buy votes that irritate me. I shouldn't have to explain why vote buying is wrong, but I will anyway.
-It blocks other articles from the top 5. What is more important, New Era's article glorifying themselves, or informative articles, from both the government and independent sources, that help the nation as a whole?
-In this case, money that could have been spent helping out members of the community was sent overseas. No need to elaborate.
Obviously, vote buying is wrong. If an article is top 5 worthy, it will get voted into the top 5. Simple as that.
3. Censorship
Back in the eUSA, we had a censorship list. This was a list of all players who were viewed as a threat to the country. I recommend the eUK develops a similar system.

4. Welcome Message
The welcome message must be updated. This has been brought up before, just wanted to remind you all of it. (I think only CP can update it).
5. Ambassador Program
This is not a grievance, more of a recommendation. I am the former director the eUSA's ambassador program, arguably the best in the eWorld. I would love to take over and remodel the current program.
(No offense to the current administration of the ambassador program. You are all doing an amazing job, but I know how to make it much more effective)

we should coordinate members of New Era to vote our propaganda articles ( like other parties seem to do).

It's good to see a new eUK player with some ideals. Though, I am a keen buyer of votes. Every party does it. I'd rather see a UK Voter Club get set up so that we can sell votes to other countries to help fund our military spending.

That is/was not an official TUP position, we are still happy (well maybe not happy, but grudgingly willing) to help try and remove BA's feet from whatever he puts them in : P
I think we should not make enemies because the enemies will make enemies of us and we will start big wars wich we may not be able to solve.
Interesting set of ideas surprisingly well researched with evidence.

The only thing with the censorship proposal is that the people that get censored give you the finger. It's largely how the current divide in the UK today was created. It also leads to a "where does it end?" It's in UKPP & 1D policy to not have a blacklist, so they wouldn't enforce it either, and personally I'm not in favour of one either.

300k for a BH? Wait to you get to Div4. You'll be lucky to get a BH for less than 30 million! ; )
Not bad, but keep the mudslinging, its what makes the game enjoyable, if anybody takes the mudslinging personal, then you should not be playing.
I agree that the censorship proposal is radical, I was just seeing how you guys felt about. I was 99% positive it would not work out
I just had a rough idea. I was thinking it was possible that it could have been tweaked to fit the system

The comments in this article are indicative of why people argue. Is it possible for anyone, just once, to just respond to an article and offer their opinions? I dont see how changing party would make this article any more or less valid. Its not about WHO proposes changes, its about how good the changes proposed are.
As it is, these are all incredibly positive movements.

I agree with what you said about New Era vote buying and I am the Vice PP of New Era, I am currantly talking to the PP about it
the animosity between parties just kind of snowballed no one really threw the first stone but now this is the situation hence the need for a peace summit
People need to learn to differentiate between the voices/actions of individuals and the official voices/actions of political parties. They are not necessarily synonymous but people usually jump to the conclusion that they are. If people are willing to learn the difference and to not immediately point the finger, for political gain, most of the difficulties can be overcome. Leaving healthy political debate/disagreement (and the odd personal spat) as the positive outcome.
