S.H.I.E.L.D. has a section on the forums called ..... War College.

The purpose of the War College is to collect any and all information out there about the military module and share it with each other.



The purpose of the War College is to teach and learn from each other. There are some many articles out there doing battle analysis that could be looked at more and thought about more than a 2 sentence comment at the bottom. There are guides online from players who have left that could be scoured up, bringing the material back to the attention of others. There are new players, using fresh eyes, that can help us see things we overlooked or over emphasized.

It should become a place of sharing what is written, writing new stuff, and discussion.

In fact I am offering 5G for each quality in game Article/Forum post written that deals with the military module from any and all SHIELD members. Quality, if I don't think it is we will chat and find a way to bring it up to snuff.

SHIELD, help me improve and expand the War College.

Things have been changing fast recently in the eUS and the Fed Party is no exception. Dk3dknight's reign of awesome has come to an end and another has taken the helm and create more great FUN. Bamabettie is the new director of the Fun department, and is integral in retention as well as keeping the lines of communication open and flowing. So I sat Bamabettie down in the hot seat to find out what will put the Fun in the Fed party.

FPR-So Bama what's it like taking over for your predecessor someone who served for so long in that position?

BB- All I can say to that is WHOA! I've got big shoes to fill. As a newbie, DK gave me my first job, and we always worked closely together. But he always gave me a lot of leeway to do and try new things. So even though I feel like I'm technically prepared to run the Fun Department, I'm also a little nervous. DK did such an outstanding job and served as Director of the Fun Zone so long, I only hope I do half as good of a job as he did.

FPR-Any plans for anything new in the fun dept?

BB- My staff and I have some new ideas in the works. But we'll also be sticking with some of the things we know work. You'll have to wait and see on that one.

FPR-What advice has Dk3dknight passed to you along with the torch?

BB- DK has been wonderful as he passed the torch to what has been his domain for so long. He's given me great advice on how to handle the forum & Fun Zone, and on the ups & downs that go along with both.

FPR-What kind of shoes do you prefer, and how do you plan on filling them in the Fun department?

BB- I'm a woman. I prefer lots of shoes and lots of styles. I've actually expanded the Fun/Retention staff enormously. I've selected two deputies and three staffers. We're still getting organized, but I'll announce them soon.

FPR-What advice do you have for all the newbs we have and all the ones yet to come?

BB- Get on the forum, read, comment and ask questions. Play the forum games. It is a great way to meet people and have a lot of fun. New players always need USD and gold, so participate in the contests because those pay cash, gold and prizes.

I had the pleasure of sitting down with our resident mushroom cloud layin mother fu**er, crashthompson.

AA: Hey. How's it going?

CT Good

AA: So, first I was wondering why the name change?

CT Couldn't remember my old account log info. So, went with something similar.

AA: Did you lose much?

CT No

AA: That's good.

CT A RL deal was pulling me away. I emptied my account into EZC (it was just starting out) and some other groups before I took a break.

AA: What is your current position in the Federalist Party?

CT Retention Director

AA: I've heard you are doing some fun-raiser's as well. Is that correct?

CT HAMMER just did one recently.

AA: What is HAMMER?

CT HAMMER is SHIELD's Training Program to assist new players in upgrading their weight rooms to Q4 and provide basic instruction over the military module.

AA Does it teach noobs to maximize training and keep their level down?

CT Yes. They recieve daily gold for working in our commune and not fighting.

AA: If I were a new player, how would you explain it to me? I would want to fight. How would you convince me it benefits me?

CT Generally an explanation of the major role strength plays in damage. By holding off, it makes you a bigger fish in a smaller pond. You are more likely to bring damage when the eUS needs it. You are also more like to obtain BH and CH's if they are interetested in Medals.

AA: Are their specific benchmarks that I would strive for?

CT We are actually working with those currently enrolled in HAMMER to come up with some better specific ones. HAMMER was originally setup before the division changes. It kinda went out, its being revamped. We are discussing new benchmarks and requirements for HAMMER soldiers on when to start fighting again etc...

AA: Makes sense. How did the HAMMER fund-raiser do? How did you raise funds? When is the next one?

CT The fund raiser was mainly coordinated by HAMMER soldiers. They did an in forum Car Wash and Bake Sale. To motivate HAMMER soldiers to participate they kept 1/2 of what they raised and 1/2 went to the HAMMER program for future HAMMER soldiers.

AA: Great program. And as the 2nd in command, you oversaw the operation?

CT Yea, I initially created it as CO of SHIELD. RL got in the way, I stepped down. As I have returned from Activity, with BigC as CO we got HAMMER started again. I am currently overseeing it after returned to activity.

AA: Keep up the good work. Getting back to 'Retention Director', what was your baseline or number of party members when you started?

CT I have no idea.

AA: When did you start? And what other positions have you held in the Federalist Party?

CT I started Retention for JLo's first term. Retention had been merged with recruitment for a long time, but he decided to split it up. So, I oversaw the retentions split. We work on driving forum activity and helping people find/get jobs. Mainly PM new Feds to help them get to the forums and answer questions. We also run competitions and awards from time to time. we did a Fed Awards about a month ago and we will be doing another one soon.

AA: Any activities that a new Federalist could get involved in, to help with Retention?

CT Yes. A - Have fun on the forums and post questions. B - Help us PM new Feds and tell them about the forums. What brought you there, a new fed perspective on the help they recieved. Honestly, BamaBettie, a new fed, has probably been on of the best fed "Ambassadors." She has been sharing her new player experience and helping them find their way on and around the forums.

AA: Yes, she has. And taken over the Important role as the head of Fedex. Do you still work with the recuitment Director? IS the Mentor program still in operation?

CT I do work with the recruitment director, and actually I am moving over to that dept soon, like in a day or two. And someone else will be stepping in as Retention Director.

AA: Sounds like you keep moving. Have you been PP?

CT As CrashNBurn not as CrashThompson. So, aaaaaaalllllllllllllooooooooooooonnnnnnnnnnngggggggggggggg time ago, but I have ran for PP like 4 times.

AA: Well, keep up the hard work. I appreciate you sitting down with me.

All of my cabinet members have their own story of greatness. They all worked to achieve what they have. Their work did not go unrecognized. I could not tell you the reason they worked for this simple game. Seems like a daunting task just for a browser game with no real substance, but they did. I'm sure we all have our own story.



My story is simple, I joined this game because I was bored (as I am sure most have). Not sure what in this game took my interest. Possibly the political module as even now I am more interested in that than the military module. I am sure though, of the reason I have stayed. The community is one of the greatest parts of this game. Sure you find some people that almost seem to ruin it, but as a whole most of the community is active and friendly. Especially the Federalist Party.

As soon as I found IRC, I became hooked. And being in #fedpartychat is great, especially being one of the most active channels in the eUSA. That is the reason I work. The community is the greatest, and being able to help the community of not just my party, but the nation is in its own right an accomplishment for me. I urge any new members to join IRC and the #fedPartyChat channel to see for themselves and be welcomed by the very own Federalist Party.
