Episode 102 : Love is Anger

“But, Shoi!” Irule pleads as the hour-long phone conversation continues. “I love you! I... I need you in my life!” He protests.

“I’m sorry Irule. You broke my heart and I couldn’t dare risk it again! I’ll never recover, I’ll never be able to feel the same way again! I’ve found someone else who gets along with me and understands me! I can’t take you back!” Shoi yells into the phone, his voice cracking. He promptly slams the phone down back into the receiver and lays his head down on the kitchen table, sobbing loudly with his hand and the plastic bottle up to his eyes, covering up the tears.

“Something happen, shoi?” Scottty asks, stepping into the room while sipping a coffee.

“N-nothing, Scottty...Just a little sad about something that happened...” Shoi mumbles, wiping away tears.

“Ahh.” Scottty says while putting his arms around shoi. “Don’t worry, Scottty’s always here to make things better.”

Shoi nods silently while he collects himself. “I love you Scottty!”


Irule wipes the tears from his eyes before leaving his bedroom for the rest of the apartment. In the kitchen Molly Jo awaits him with a nice home-cooked breakfast. “Morning sleepy-head!” She squeals, huggin him with glee. “Thought you could use a good day’s breakfast to start you off!”

Irule takes a seat without saying a word and eats silently while Molly rambles on about the wonderful morning she’s been having. Irule crumples his toast in his hands and hopes for just some relaxing peace and quiet from time to time.

“So what do you think we should do today?” Molly asks while giving Irule a big hug. “I was thinking we could go out for lunch or see a movie! Oh it will be so romantic, Irule!”

Irule, raging with frustration and annoyance, turns around and swings his fists at Molly, drawing contact and blood directly in the face. “Shut up! Just shut up!”

Molly falls backwards, crashing through a large glass table on her way down. She slams into the floor with a large thud and begins to cry as a red stain slowly builds up on the carpet. Irule storms out of the apartment angrily and heads for the local bar.


Irule enters the bar filled with hatred and anger. Shoi has betrayed him and his love and Irule couldn’t be more disappointed. He takes a seat at the end of the bar on a large stool and orders the most alcoholic beverage available. The bartender merely responds with a polite nod of understanding.

As the drink is delivered and Irule dives in a stranger sitting only a few seats down intervenes. “Rough day?” Scottty asks.

“Tell me about it.” Irule says while gulping down another large dose of beer.

“Relationship issues?” Scottty asks again while drinking from his Martini (spelling?).

“You bet.” Irule answers. “Who needs love.”

“Well... I could always use some.” Scottty answers. Irule turns in his seat and simply looks at Scottty. Before they know it, they’re both back at his place.


Shoi opens the door to Irule’s apartment hoping to catch him for a quick apology and to ensure Irule won’t ever mention the relationship again. Instead he enters to a befuddled Molly Jo cleaning glass from her hands and sobbing lightly while cursing under her breath. She has a red and white bandage wrapped around her head.

“What happened in here?” Shoi exclaims as he sees the shattered table.

“That little b!*ch happened!” She yells. “I was minding my own business, enjoying my wonderful day and what did he do? Shoves me into a table, that’s what! And you know something else? I think he’s cheating on me! Yeah, I said it!”

“Honestly, I’ve known Irule a while and it wouldn’t surprise me, Molly...” Shoi says quietly.

“You’re !@#$ right it wouldn’t! I’m sick of him! He’s abusive, moody, and rude! The next time I see him, I’m going to make him apologize for his S&*t!” Molly yells while removing more glass.

“No! Just end it with him! Just break it off, Molly. It’s obvious he can’t take care of you. Maybe you should find someone who will!” Shoi says. “What he did was despicable, rude, and arrogant. Molly, leave that man at once!”

“But where will I go? He’s my everything!” Molly wipes away the blood and tears from her face.

Shoi stands there, silent.
