[ENN] Writer of the Month - January 2013

In our continuing goal to promote and encourage journalistic excellence in the eUS, ENN will be presenting a Writer of the Month award to the finest article in the past calendar month, as voted on by readers.
Nominees will include the previous month's Writer-of-the-Week winners, one "Editor's Choice" article that the editorial staff of ENN, led by EIC Rainy Sunday, determines worthy of inclusion and a "Wild Card" selection - the article that received the highest amount of legitimate votes in any WotW vote in the prior month, but did not win. Nominees will be voted upon by you, the readers, and the writer of the article that receives the highest amount of votes will be declared ENN - Writer of the Month, receive a prize of $1,000 CC and be automatically eligible for ENN - Writer of the Year.
We encourage you to read the articles for yourself and vote for which piece you favor the most.

Not at all. Although I would imagine there are some who would indeed do that, it's not something we can control. The purpose is to attempt to drive people to the empirenews.net website since we have other content there as well. We have all the links to the articles on the actual page you can also vote and felt that was appropriate. We had considered placing the articles on the announcement eRep article too, so we will keep it mind. But again, the intention of doing it the way we do it, is to hopefully drive traffic to the site. We even used to not even post the writers on the announcement to make people log on the ENN site, but we changed it up.
