[DoD] Update on TW - Progress so far

Day 1,870, 08:42 Published in Ireland Ireland by Irish Department of Defence

This is an update on the Anglo-Irish training war.

Following the UK's Prime Minister BigAnt attacking Newfoundland and blocking our training war with Canada on Christmas Day - Taoiseach The Psycho arranged a training war with the UK instead, with the following conditions and scheduled events;

✯ Ireland attacks Newfoundland and closes the UK-Canada war.

✯ UK will not attack Portugal.

✯ Ireland will attack Northern Ireland and win.

✯ Ireland will attack Scotland at a favourable time to the UK and lose.

✯ United Kingdom will attack Northern Ireland and win.

✯ Thereafter, we will ping-pong, attacking at favourable times to each-other.

Progress so far:

✯ We have successfully closed the UK-Canada war - with no issues.

Miscommunication between the UK's Prime Minister and UK's MoD meant orders were set against us in Northern Ireland, along with TWO placing our battle in their top priorities - however, Nataliia from Galicia and Seanan contacted the UK's Prime Minister, resulting in us being removed from both UK and TWO's priority lists.

At this point, UK lead in Northern Ireland with 82 points. Ireland had only 72 points - meaning we would need to win every division in order to obtain victory.

We successfully managed to win every division in the last battle, securing Northern Ireland. It was an interesting battle, with Ireland only tipping the dominance of each division in our favour at around 01:30:00, taking the finish time of battles over 1:40:00 - more details found here.

✯ Ireland attacked Scotland at a favour time to the United Kingdom (i.e. in the morning), successfully allowing the UK to win and gain the initiative.

✯ United Kingdom has attacked Dublin at a time unfavourable to Ireland. We had requested an attack on an Irish region at 1300 erep time (i.e. a time favourable to Ireland). eIreland has opened our mercenary supply channel in order to compensate for UK's Prime Minister opening the battle at an unfavourable time.

The Psych0 and the Irish Department of Defence are continuing to achieve a functioning Training War despite these setbacks, however we advise all Irish citizens to FIGHT SMART and use supplies/EBs/rockets sparingly in case another mishap, such as that in Northern Ireland, occurs and it requires our full attention.
