[CPF] Build for Tomorrow

Day 2,428, 20:29 Published in Canada Poland by TheSmoke

This one is for Tom Joad,

Well we have been fighting hard against the Brits, making good work with our RWs, but none the less, they are hammering away through their Direct Battles. Our soldiers will fight until the bitter end, however should most of the resources come from our individual pockets? It has been a long time since actual MU funding has been done through the government, and this is certainly one option to do. However, according the MU Funding act, we cannot have a transfer go through until our Treasury is over $150,000, and it is currently at $139,000. We should get there within a day or two of writing this, as long as we don’t sign any MPPs.

The other option for us is to use the Canadian Civil Defense Act, my baby! Here we could fund Canadians only through direct COs on the battlefield. Paying Canadians only is not as effective as funding all potential fighters, however it keeps our tax dollars at home!

Both are proven solid options, but the question comes down to, can we afford it, and/or do we need to? Our MUs have learned to become self-sufficient over the past year, which is good, but it is also nice to ensure our Canadian soldiers are doing the best they can. So in all I believe both options are viable, and potentially beneficial to a very large portion of Canada.

I do also think there is a third option, albeit a little harder to do. After we have a bit of peace time, the government could try and create a one-time funding program aimed at getting our soldiers to upgrade their Weights Room and Climbing Centres (First two training facilities). I know from my point of view, I would be willing to chip in to The Praetors to help try and match what the government is providing. This avenue is a long term investment, which is the kind of action we need to do.

I would be happy to hear some input on this idea, and if anyone would care to help create a draft proposal I am all ears!

Cheers
