[AMP] A Talk with a Tank

Hello there everyone!
Recently, I had the pleasure of sitting down for an interview with the AMP’s very own John Largo. In case you don’t know him, you are missing out! Largo is the number 1 player in the eUSA, and the number 8 in the eWorld. He is also a very active politician, serving 18 terms in Congress and 2 terms as the VP of the eUSA. He is an absolute animal on the battlefield, as you can see by his rank and Battle Hero count.

You have been in the AMP for how long now?
I've been around AMP from the very beginning and officially became a member when AMP hit the top 5 for the first time.


Where were you before, and what made you chose the AMP over the alternative?
I started my elife in the CVP, which changed names to the DemReps. That were I learned a lot about an introductory level to politics. The leadership there were mostly Marines, so that helped put the goal of becoming a Marine into my head. At some point the DemReps were PTOed and I wandered around from party to party mostly as a blocker for months. Then I settled into the UIP and helped lead their congressional delegation. The UIP was losing steam, just as AMP was gaining it, so that's when I jumped to be AMP.


What makes the AMP unique, different from other parties?
AMP is an awesome party. Mostly stemming from our rebellious roots, we are very pro-military/militia. Plus there have been quite a few National Leaders and Presidents come from our party, so our members have access to conversations with people "in the know". How do you feel about AMP Leadership at this time?
We have pretty solid leadership at the moment. There has been some noticeable infusions of new guys along with the stalwart veterans. That's one of the best things about AMP; If you put in the hard work and aren't much of an idiot, then you'll get your shot to lead and show you are ready for further advancement.

What do you think of the AMP’s program to feed our soldiers, also known as Guns4Buns?

What do you feel is the best thing you’ve done inside the AMP? How about outside of it?
The best thing in AMP is my work in congress. I've been around long enough to learn the ropes and see what needs to be done for progress. I also like to mentor new congressmen on how to do the basics. Sometimes its just a quick answer to a question, and others it is advice on how to argue a particular point.
The best thing outside of AMP is being a Marine, and some of the cool stuff I've been able to do on the battlefield. Politically my highest rank was VP in Vanek's two terms. It was fun and exposed me to whole other level within this game.

Have you noticed any rising stars in the AMP? What do you like about seeing this?
There are some great young leaders working hard in AMP, and the party will definitely support them as long as they work for it. Some guys like CaseyJ and Mr.Swagg are at the point of taking a big step forward. Others like PiggyBoot and TheWhiteFlame are just getting their start. Hard work is definitely rewarded in AMP.

You have been a Senator many times, and have served in quite a few CP Cabinets. Are you planning on taking a shot at the big chair anytime soon?
I've only taken a shot at POTUS once (and they had to invent Unity to keep me from winning... kidding, it was mutually understood that was best for the country). I'm a little older than many of you eRep players and have a busy full time job. I like to play eRep to relax. POTUS would be fun and it is something on my bucket list, but I don't think I'll have enough RL time to be a good President in the near future. One day, I just don't know when.

If you don’t mind, could you give us a rough estimate of how much money you spend monthly on this game? 😉
