|||Intro & rules|||


Since the last article, numerous citizens asked for certain cities to be the next hosts of the next International eRepublik Meeting - Edition 2. Cities ranging from Athens to Krakow, from Bucharest to Berlin or Rome were proposed. It seems that many citizens would want the next meeting to be held in their area or beyond, proving that the first one was a real success.


⇛ From the start we have to set some ground rules ⇚
The form is still open until the last days of March when the exact location and date will be set. The location of the next meeting has to be easily accessible by road/train/flight for as many eRep countries as possible. We don’t want a “national” meeting but an “international” one. Also a big bonus would get the cities/resorts that have at least one local citizen to actually help in hosting and organising the meeting.


For any volunteers who want the meeting to be held in their city/resorts we need prices for the local accommodations, flight schedules and flightprices, train schedules, highway toll prices, local pub/restaurant that can accommodate up to 150 people, local fairs and festivals, the available local entertainment, any mountain/beach resorts close to the specific location and the list goes on BUT also any cons (negative things) that could limit the fun or attendance to the meeting. Don’t forget about beer and other alcoholic beverage prices!


Example : LadyArgana offered to help with the hosting and organising and in the near future we’ll have all the available data on Thessaloniki as the next eRepublik meet’s location. is has an international airport, it has got highway access, it’s reachable for Turks, Bulgarians, Serbians, Romanians, etc. This is a big plus for Thessaloniki, Greece.


So get rid of your epic laziness and start gathering info if you want YOUR chosen city/resort to be the host of the next meeting. Almost any major city or resort can have a chance at it.

|||The date|||


Some key facts for the setting the date.

The UEFA EURO 2012 football championship will start on the 8th of June and will be over on the 1st of July and will be held in Ukraine and Poland.
The Ramadan will start on the 19th of July and will last until the 18th of August.

In conclusion the best possible date would be somewhere between 2nd and 18th of July. The duration (number of days) will depend on the location. For cities a maximum of 3 to 4 days and for summer resorts by the sea I think we can all agree on the fact that 1 week might be not enough. Also it would be interesting to hold it in a mountain resorts.

| | | Vorwort & Regeln | | |


Seit dem letzten Artikel, fragten zahlreiche Bürger ob sie nicht als Gastgeber des nächsten Internationalen eRepublik Treffens - volume 2 sein koennten. Es wurden Städte wie Athen, Krakau, Bukarest, Berlin oder Rom vorgeschlagen. Es scheint, dass viele Bürgerinnen und Bürger ein Treffen in nicht nur ihrer Region wahrnehmen wuerden. Das zeigt dass das erste Treffen ein voller Erfolg gewesen ist.


⇛ Von Anfang an haben wir einige Grundregeln gesetzt ⇚
Das Formular ist immer noch geöffnet und wird es auch bis zum Ende März sein, dann wird der genaue Ort und Datum ermittelt. Der Standort des nächsten Treffens muss für viele EREP-Länder wie möglich gut erreichbar sein, sei es mit dem Auto / Bahn / Flugzeug. Wir wollen nicht ein "nationales" Treffen, sondern ein "internationales". Ein großer Vorteil ist es wenn Einheimische beim Treffen mit Tat und Rat dabei sein werden.


Für alle Freiwilligen, die das Treffen in ihrer Stadt / Resorts organiesieren wollen, benötigen wir wie folgt: Preise für die Unterkünfte vor Ort, Flugpläne und Flugpreise, Fahrpläne, Autobahnmauten, Kneipe / Restaurant mit Platz für bis zu 150 Personen, lokale Messen /Festivals, die gehalten werden sollen, lokale Unterhaltung, jeden Berg / Strand-Resorts in der Nähe uvm. aber auch etwaige Nachteile sind zu nennen, die den Spaß oder die Teilnahme an dem Treff einschränken könnten. Nicht über Preise von Bier und anderen alkoholischen Getränken vergessen!


Beispiel: LadyArgana hat angeboten, alles rund um ein Treffen in Thessaloniki zu sammeln und Hilfe zu leisten, das in Zukunft als moegliches Treff-Standort sein koennte. Es hat einen internationalen Flughafen, es hat Autobahnanschluss, es ist für Türken, Bulgaren, Serben, Rumänen, etc leicht erreichbar. Dies ist ein großes Plus für Thessaloniki, Griechenland.


Also los geht’s ihr faulen Saecke und fangt schon an Infos zu sammeln, wenn Ihr wollt das eben EURE Stadt / Ort als naechter Gastgeber des erep-Treffs sein soll. Fast jede größere Stadt oder Resort hat eine Chance.

Einige wichtige Fakten für die Einstellung des Datums.

Die UEFA EURO 2012 Fußball-Europameisterschaft wird am 8. Juni beginnen und wird am1. Juli vorbei sein und wird in der Ukraine und Polen stattfinden.
Der Ramadan wird am 19. Juli beginnen und wird bis zum 18. August dauern.



Die Ergebnisse der Umfrage mit der Anzahl der eingegangenen Antworten


Zum Abschluss, der bestmögliche Zeitpunkt würde irgendwo zwischen 2. und 18. Juli sein. Die Dauer (Anzahl der Tage) wird vom Standort abhaengen. Für Städte sollte es maximal 3 - 4 Tage dauern und für Sommer-Resorts am Meer denke ich, und da sind wir uns alle eining, dass 1 Woche vielleicht nicht ausreichen koennte. Auch wäre es interessant, das Treffen in einem Berg-Resorts zu halten.
