Why SKA is my All-time Favourite Party

I write this article as somebody who has only ever been in two parties, never seeing how other parties do things. SKA always stands apart from the rest.

It was way over two months ago that I joined SKA. Before joining, I saw them regularly and liked their innovative approach to politics. The absence of food giveaways, never supporting people outside the party, giving no incentive to join the party and many other unique ideas being generated by just a few.

I eventually joined up, and found the party to have a lot more depth than it would seem on the outside. It's never been a very active community. The forums are dead, the IRC channel was never created due to a lack of willingness, the party stuck to it's core values - Everybody is equal, although some are more equal than others.

SKA seemed like a party that catered for for no one - the players who don't really care about progressing within eRepublik. The new players who ask so many stupid questions are encouraged to not further their eRepublik careers with SKA. The one experienced politician we have, has no interest in wanting to help the new citizens.

The party has proved to be an excellent 'training ground' for would-be runner up CPs; 3 members have already gone on to be runner up CPs, and some even use principles scrapped from the gutter!

A Model for Politics

-Solid policies
-Innovative schemes
-Refusal to help new players
-Constant trolling of experienced players
-Strong core community

This party has everything, and started off a lot of ideas. It's refreshing to see that it's fallen behind so far with regards to numbers, and hopefully that is how it will remain!

My Second Coming

So, I recently rejoined SKA, after winning a congress seat in UKPP. As many can see, the party has remained steady over time to the point where we're now competing with three different parties just for eleventh place. The core is still in the party however; an semi-active community, solid policies and a desire to not fill our party with dead bodies.

SKA remains neutral through all of these ongoings in the eUK. We also don't form these 'coalitions' that have swept the country in recent months, meaning we don't give up on our stance for a cheap shot at power like so many others have done.

I don't bother too much with ePolitics anymore; even for people like me, SKA still appeals. There's a community somewhere here ( we are still looking for it), a chance to help people and some very friendly folk to help you out with anything as long as it requires minimal effort.

SKA needs helping hands if it's going to introduce that rare creature called 'fun' to the eUK political scene; you don't even need to join the party, just vote the next SKA candidate to be eUK CP, it's as simple as that. 🙂

Overall, I'd strongly recommend SKA for anybody not looking to make a break in to politics, and even those just looking for a place to hang out. Consider this article my stamp of approval!
