Why I Am an eCommunist

Part 1. Why ideology adds value to game mechanics

There is a lot of talk about game mechanics when no real reasons can be given.
Fact is that the real game doesn't mean much. Actually because of game mechanics almost no law proposal makes a difference.

If we would need to find fun in the actual game that is called eRepublik we wouldn't last long.
Nobody would last longer than a week, cause lets be honest the actual game is boring like hell.

What makes eRepublik fun is the community behind it, the forums (other sites) and the people.
None of this fits in the game mechanics. Most of what happens on the eBelgium forums do not fall under game mechanics.

But does this mean we should close the eBelgium forum? Should we delete our constitution? Stop debating about all kind of stuff?
Clearly NOT. Actually that's what makes eRepublik fun.

Having 5 political parties who say more or less the same isn't fun.
I really can not see any difference between by example Res Belgica and BfB.
While one is center-left and the other center their approach has nothing to do with party values but all with individuals.
Why call Res Belgica center-left when it does not follow any ideology? Why have different parties when none of them have real differences?

That is why I call for more ideological parties. I would love to see parties with a more specific political agenda.
Diversity means more fun! And more ideological parties can create this much needed diversity!
