Why does eRepublik not have a free market.

Day 3,487, 03:59 Published in Ireland Ireland by Releasethe Krakken

To start why is our market not free in the true sense of the wor😛

1. Gold buying is capped at 10 gold per day/50 gold(on tycoon pack)
2. This means a person can only expand at a certain rate per day using gold.
3. One needs to buy packs to work in more than 200 factories a day.

With a recent look at our expenditures in this game. Buying packs becomes more and more problematic.

15 dollar for Blitzkrieg + 10 dollar for Power pack is not the end of the world. but if you add 3 x tycoon packs your spending +- 55 dollar on a game. Throw in Maverick and your hitting 75 buy for others and you may be close to 100 dollar on a game which is in my opinion a truly lousy state of affairs.

How can our new owner(old owner in new guise) help us in this regard.

1. Remove the gold cap. Sooner or later all businesses will hit their natural cap.

or

2. Offer a comprehensive pack with all of the features of power, blitzkrieg and tycoon(for 14 days) and sell this at a slighty higher amount of say 20 to 25 dollar.

3. Or make selective packs . Let players pick features they want and charge say 5 dollar a feature . For example if you break down all packs and offer their contents per item then wouldnt you make more money.

For example imagine option list as follow

1. 50 Gold (war stash) - 5 USD
2. 25 Gold (blitzkrieg pack)- 5 USD
3. 20 x 200 EB 's - 5 USD
4. 2000 Energy Building - 5 USD
5. +20 energy recovery for 30 days - 5 USD
6. +20 % bonus production for 7 days - 5 USD
7. 50 gold cap for 7 days. - 5 USD
8. +10% gold for 30 days - 5 USD
9. Division Change for 30 days

kid in the candy shop kinda concept. Will the average user spend less or more. Probably more if you break up all the packs. But this allows the less well off player to afford perhaps 1 feature or your regular breathing room.
