Plans For The Future

My fellow Americans,

We make this game, and from today I call upon every citizen of eUSA to make this game great. I have established four guiding principles that I will be asking your leaders to uphold. I call upon every American to embrace them as well.

First,
Social Capital Bears Interest
This concept simply means that by investing in the community aspect of this game, we expand our chances for growth. My commitment to this concept is to include the largest number of people possible in each decision that gets made, within practical reason. Collaboration is society-building. And so I encourage each of you to become inclusive, collaborative, and ever willing to “bloat the big tent” of your micro-community. If you do this, you will soon be challenged with the problems of growth.

Second,
Model What We Want To Duplicate
This concept serves to remind us that as long as we are in public service, we are being watched. Even what we do in private will have a bearing on how we are viewed by the public. If the public sees us succeeding, it will create a new opportunity for success for them. So my commitment to this concept is to work as transparently as reason allows. I will ask the same of my Cabinet and Staff. And I ask Party Leaders and MU Leaders to take note of what we do, then apply it to your circumstances.

Third,
Game Mechanics Are Our Friend
There is nothing more powerful in this game than a click. These clicks - and where they lead - are the most important factor in dictating our courses of action. My commitment to this concept is to always consider each question first from the perspective of game mechanics. So, for instance, in our New Citizen Message, it is not wise that the first click we ask them to make leads them offsite. Game Mechanics give us better options than that, and so the first thing you will see from our Administration is a new NCM.

Fourth,
Turn Someone Else Into A Hero
This concept is built on the “pay it forward” philosophy. If everyone in the New World simply works to turn him or herself into a hero, everyone’s job is equally difficult. But if we eAmericans become eager to turn other eAmericans into heroes, each person’s job has suddenly become exponentially easier. My commitment is to turn our Cabinet and Staff into heroes. And if you know of a hero that needs “making”, contact me.

Let this word go forth from this moment… from this Newspaper… into the New World - that eUSA is a Nation on the rise. In Military Strength, in Cultural Wealth, in Economic Stability, and in our Commitment to eRepublik, we are the Nation to watch.

This month WHPR plans to start a new tradition of celebrating players who do exceptional work for the government and our country as a whole. The idea is to make the game seem more likeable and encourage our players to get involved with being praised. So without a further ado, it is my honor to announce our first candidate of celebration….



Wild Owl!

As our just former President for the last 2 two months, he has done the impossible during a time of alliance shifts by leading our country and bringing eUSA back to glory with 10/10 bonuses and accomplishing much more than just that. This month he plans to stay involved with the government as our Minister of Foreign Affairs. So from the WHPR staff to Wild Owl, “Way To Go Wild Owl, you really are an American Hero.”




Newbs in the News!

I think we can all agree newbs are awesome, for some partially because they used to be linked to bewbs! However it’s hard to get started in this game where new players don’t have exposure enough to get what they want to say out. Well, used to anyways; the media department is happy to announce the chance for newbies to get their voice heard among the cacophony.

News from Newbs is a great opportunity to have a fun new segment in the WHPR, and a great chance for YOU, the new player, to say something awesome! It’s pretty simple, here’s how it works. You make sure you’re under 3 months old as of the start of this contest. You come up with a novel idea! (well maybe shorter, it’s a segment after all!) And simply submit it to the wonderful Melissa Rose.

Here are the only rules of the contest:

- You must be under 3 months e-old
- You must submit before 3/14/2014
- Your submission must be under 4 paragraphs, but more than 2
- You are only allowed one submission

And that's it! You’re the lifeblood of this game, and we encourage any and all new players to submit something to the contest. This is a great way to get some exposure or just say something cool to the community. So please, send in something!



War Map and Analysis

Taking a look at the European map, we take note of a few important factors.

1. Argentina has been allowed to sit in the Baltic region and looks poised to do so for the foreseeable future. It may be worth removing them for the future security of Europe.

2. Hungary has carved their way into the middle of Europe. It's only a matter of time before they attack a SIRIUS nation. If the USA keeps taking French regions, it will even allow Hungary to make a move on the USA and then Spain.

3. It's no secret that ASTERIA has targeted Poland's resources. Poland has done well though and is already back to 90/100. Poland will be a continual target for ASTERIA, and it's up to Poland to make a stand in her Resistance Wars. She is winning her two current ones easily.

4. Bulgaria and Romania have a NAP in place, and an open war to swap regions per the agreement. I'd place some money on the WAR turning badly at some point. How many times have we seen that happen?

5. Italy, Croatia, Albania, and BiH have managed to bring down the Serbian empire with the help of SIRIUS. This is the first major victory for SIRIUS and I hope has led to many troll articles highlighting this victory.

6. The Republic of Moldova's Airstrike on Belgium worked out quite well. The United Kingdom attacked them to remove the threat, and have now lost two core regions. Moldova is poised to win another core region. Maybe the United Kingdom made a mistake attacking them?

Conclusion: Asteria has made it clear they will continue to focus on Poland, as Hungary makes moves to engage other SIRIUS nations. Serbia's empire status is a major victory for SIRIUS and Pro-SIRIUS forces. We can look forward to many WARs in Europe as SIRIUS and ASTERIA both attempt to establish dominance in the MPP battles. We will see how well mobile forces are deployed, as they can be the best way to drain or divert attention from MPP battles. If either alliance manages to get the upper hand in all MPP battles, then we will see tactics change. In the meanwhile, enjoy the show. It's so gratifying to everyone to see some balance restored in erepublik. Let's see how long it lasts, and how Aurora, ProSirius, and LETO shake out.
