Wars Around the World - Late Day 2686

Day 2,686, 21:20 Published in Netherlands USA by Actinide

Inspired by eBritish citizen Hotfuz and his former series of the same name, I now present to you the first installment of...

Wars around the World!

We will start our journey in EUROPE!

Northwest Europe (THIS INCLUDES US!)

The eIreland-eUSA war is ongoing, with the US attacking Cork and Kerry (US leads 29-4) and an Irish RW in the Southeast (US leads 17-5). On the German front, eFrance is unsuccessfully attacking Stuttgart (Germany leads 79-6) and ePoland is successfully attacking Erfurt (Poland leads 38-0). France declaring war on Germany serves to force the Germans to scatter their forces, and the Germans are wisely choosing to cream the French instead of fighting a tougher Polish battle they have a higher chance of losing. A side effect of this, though, is that the Poles are cutting Portugal off from Germany. Portugal will therefore have (a) airstrike them, which would be a waste of money since they just airstruck us, (b) go through Poland to get to Germany, which would be a waste of time since Poland's too strong for the Portuguese, or (c) give up on the Germans altogether, which would mean giving up on us, which would mean that we get our regions back. All in good time.

Southwest Europe

The eSerbs continue their general dominance of eRepublik and are fighting wars with eSpain on two fronts. Serbia is currently winning on both fronts, but things are closer in the RW (29-15) than in the current battle of Aragon (89-0). In other news, eSlovenia is engaged in wars against both eItaly and eSwitzerland; Slovenia is winning their war in Switzerland (90-13) and has just begun against Italy (0-0).

East Europe

Bulgaria is at war with Serbia currently in Ruse, but that battle just started (0-0). Ukraine has an RW for Zaporozhia against Romania; Ukraine leads 17-2. Other than that, there's general calm in the region.

To AFRICA! Wait... All is quiet on the African front.

To ASIA!

Middle East

Most of the Middle East is calm, but the real-life UAE is a bloodbath. The eCanucks are attacking Albania in Sharjah (the Albanians lead 76-74, but the Canucks have the momentum), and the UAE has an RW with Albania in Umm al Qawain (Albania leads 39-32 and has momentum). An Armenian RW in Yerevan has Iran leading 76-13.

South Asia

The only thing in South Asia right now is a Pakistani RW in Karachi that sees Turkey leading 77-28.

East Asia

North Korea has an RW against the US in Ryanggang (DPRK leads 65-12). However, that RW is diverting North Korean forces from an American offensive in Pyongan where the US leads 82-0. If the US can sweep the offensive in Pyongan and redirect their forces to the RW, then it's entirely possible for them to gain control of both regions and place big-time pressure on the DPRK. In a separate but equally important war, Russia's trying to hold control of Chubu and has a 16-6 lead, but the Japs have momentum in all four divisions, which means that the score will most likely be 16-17 by the end of this battle.

We now move... to OCEANIA!

The Aussies have an RW on Tasmania against the Peruvians; the Aussies lead 71-5. In Canterbury, the Argies are trying to hold on against a New Zealand resistance force that's been giving them a run for their money (the Argies only have a 22-21 lead), but the Argies are gaining momentum quickly in all four divisions, which will make the score 22-32 by the end of this battle.

And... to NORTH AMERICA!

The only war in North America right now is the Canucks vs. Iran. There's a Canadian RW in Alberta, but the Iranians lead 82-6, which means that the general state of affairs will be maintained in that continent.

Lastly, to SOUTH AMERICA!

Not much action here, but Chile is pulling an RW against the Argies and winning 48-0. Didn't see that coming. Unlike the Germans, who are choosing to fight the easier opponent and winning with ease, the Argies are playing one close battle and letting an opponent win who shouldn't be. It's a major blunder in the not-so-humble opinion of yours truly.
