War? Just say "non."

Day 383, 13:03 Published in USA Canada by Dillan Stone

It is "the wrong war in the wrong place at the wrong time."

No, this isn't about Iraq. Instead, it is about the foolish war we are about to leap both-feet-forward into on the plains of France.

Let's face facts; America is the nation the world loves to hate. And now, instead of this being a war of Spanish aggression, it will be viewed worldwide as a war of American aggression. Even though Spain will gain the lions share of territory, it will be America who will pay the dearest price in the long term.

Nevermind America has, as of today, not a _single_ region of foreign soil within it - just its original fifty states and one district. Nevermind nations like Indonesia, Turkey, Pakistan, Sweden, Romania, and now Spain, are gobbling up neighbors like there's no tomorrow. No, it's America who is the problem.

And now, after over a year of game-time, we are about to prove the America haters right.

America should have been the great Liberator. If a strong alliance it is to be, we should build that alliance by liberating once-conquered nations bordering our greatest strategic threats - liberating Greece, Isreal, Austrailia, China, and India, and encouraging the peaceful liberation of nations our allies had previously conquered, to strengthen ATLANTIS by welcoming a dozen or more new states into the alliance.

Sixty-four years ago, American troops marched on Paris, not as conquers, but as liberators. But in eRepublik, the American boots on the ground will be those of jack-booted thugs, no better than the criminals of PEACE.

France will rise again, ultimately. Our reputation may not.
