Voluntary Employment Policy as of 9/2/15

Day 2,843, 13:13 Published in USA USA by tsewell

Due to the extraordinary work tax, I will be instituting the following policy for those who are interested in participating. There has been enough interest that I am going to go ahead and start doing this.

Current Conditions:
Current work tax: 15%
Current job market salary: 78.02 cc/shift
Current job market take home salary: 66.32 cc/shift
My current employee salary: 80 cc/shift
My current employee take home salary: 68 cc/shift

Rather than using in game mechanics to pay salary, employees will be paid "under the table", so to speak. Each employee will have their in game salary lowered to 1.00 cc/shift. The employer will then donate 71.00 cc to each employee for every shift worked. This will result in each employee gaining 4 cc/shift, and the employer saving 8 cc/shift.

Procedure

1) In-game salary will be set to 1.00 cc/shift. Employer will attempt to make this change as close to server reset as possible to minimize the chance for confusion.

2) Approximately every two days Twice a week, the employer will review the work history section of the employee management page.

3) Employer will determine the number of shifts worked from the day before the last review until the day prior to current review. This will preclude keeping track of shifts worked before or after the review.

4) Employer will donate each employee a sum equal to 71 cc times the number of shifts worked as determined above. The amount donated will change, in accordance with current economic conditions.

5) Frequency of reviews will be flexible. Employer will attempt to conduct a review every other day, but this will depend on the amount of time and effort involved. After running the policy for a few weeks, I have determined that the employer will pay twice a week, once during the weekend and another time midweek. I recently started a new job and staying up until server reset is not as painless as it once was.

6) Official changes of procedures and/or changes of salary will be noted in this newspaper.
