v2 War Module, Latest Battles and a Scandal

Greetings,

So the new battlefield has been with us for a few days now. For the time being I can only give it a b-rating. b for beta or for broken; take your pick. It is buggy, you get connection time-outs and server/network errors, players lose their turns, sometimes the battle freezes, it's a long list. Sometimes the bugs are good for players, however, but don't expect me to mention those in here. Admins also have to look at hospitals' duration, balancing of weapons and fixing the 'enemy outnumbered' rule (imagine a dead private taking 10 health from 10 FMs - priceless) and a lot more things. They have so many tickets, petitions and open letters to look into, it's insane.

Having said all these, the v2 war module is a very nice concept, many players have loved it already and when the bugs are fixed people will have tons of fun. If only they make it cheaper to fight...

Battles in Croatia
The 3-way assault on Croatia which started at the end of v1, finished at the first days of v2, with Phoenix erasing it from the map. Impressions from these battles:
- Croatians gave everythingthey had to save their country - respect!
- Serbians are a well run v2 war machine - congrats.
- Phoenix were better prepared for v2 and more organized than EDEN. In Croatia, Serbia and Hungary did the bulk of the damage, so that helped their coordination.
- Phoenix won battles where EDEN had more damage... see above.
- Romania did their duty as an ally and so did Greece in C.Croatia and China in S.Dalmatia.
- US tried to help too late, Poland is facing problems in v2 it seems and as for Spain...

Russo-American War
Russia started their attack on USA at the end of v1, when they managed to get Alaska. On v2 they advanced southwards, in the Pacific States. In the meantime US gave some States to Ireland and they passed them on to Poland, which was already renting in US. So Poland attacks the States under Russian occupation, Russia attacks the States that Poland owns (yeah it's confusing already) and...
USA attacks Far Eastern Russia, a region high in Titanium and Stone. A lot more are yet to come in this war, so take some pop-corn, sit back and watch the events as they unfold.

A special note for the battle of F.E.R.: in the first few hours Greece was simply amazing. Whoever was on teamspeak, knows it. Those who weren't, I hope we see you in the future battles! 5-6 hours into the battle Greece was ranking 1st in damage, while being 5th in #of fighters.

And the "scandal"...
The end of v1 saw the most epic ragequit of all (?) time. US Mod Necrosis leaked his password and a small chaos ensued. Lots of accounts were banned, including admin and game CEO, newspapers edited, including the Insider, lots of fun staff. This week a Polish player, meliners, decided to go out with a bang as well. On Day 974 he created over 4 thousand multies, presumably to make a point against multy-accounts. Those multies acted on day 976, voting up some articles. One of them was on polish pierogi, a couple others were serious and the rest were about b00bs and women. The most epic was an untitled article containing a gif which broke the erep rules on pornography... It reached top news internationally at no time, after 5 hours it had 5k votes and 4k subs (the paper ended up with 8 MMs!) and it was still up after 10 hours!

Unfortunately I cannot post the relevant gif here, without gaining some FPs. But don't worry, I have another one for you
