Training Grounds

Day 3,718, 00:37 Published in Canada Canada by Thedillpickl

Hi Kids!

Holidays are over, time to get back to educating ourselves about the basics of eRep. I had a bit of learning to do myself. It's been a long time and the formula has changed. Fortunately the http://tools.narrenturm.eu/trainingCalculator.php eRep is still around to help me appear as though I actually know something. lol

If you've saved gold the missions have given that's great! The following info will give you a place to start spending before a hole is burnt through your purse. If you have already blown it perhaps Training Grounds will give you a reason to start saving again.

Training Grounds

What are Training Grounds (TGs) used for?
Simply put, TGs build Strength. Look at your Profile page. Under Military Attributes you will find your Strength. More Strength will increase the damage you do during tank battles. The more damage you make the better chance you have to get Battle Hero gold! Strength has no effect on air battles.

Are there other benefits for Training?
The leading benefit is to earn gold with the Super Soldier achievement. Free is always good, you get 0.1 gold/day for doing nothing but training with Q1 Weights Room. If you work and train you'll receive a 5 day bonus of Strength & Experience. That will increase the gold to 0.136 daily. Note: The gold is delivered 5g at every Super Soldier.

Where To Start?

First allow me to mention that eRep has discounts fairly regularly. Why pay full price? Watch for the 45% off and upgrade your TGs faster!

Let's take a look at the TG chart I've copied out of the wiki*.

Weights Room:
Start by upgrading Weights Room through Q4. Use the Weights Room every day as it costs nothing but a bit of food for 10 Energy. After Q4 you will earn 0.436g/day with 5 day bonus (always work and train daily, even if that's all you do), you will also gain 21.8 Strength/day.

You'll get Super Soldier 5g every 11.47 days.

Climbing Center:
Once you've got the Weights Room maxed out it's time to start upgrading the Climbing Center. This one costs gold to use so I suggest waiting until Q4 before you use it. At Q1 the gold is reduced to 0.296/day but Strength is up to 24.3/day. If you wait until Q4 to use it becomes 0.446g/day and 31.8 Strength/day.

You'll get Super Soldier 5g every 7.86 days.

Shooting Range and Special Forces:
This is where I got edjumacated. If you intend to have a positive gold income stop here! Might be a good time to pause upgrading TGs and save for a Q2 food and a hunting lodge so you can make your own food.

You can play with the calculator** if you like but there is no way to make gold AND use these TGs. The best you can do is minimize the cost. The short version is take both to Q4 and use the Pro Training Contract*** (90😵. That provides 91.8/day Strength for cost of 0.218g. Your Hard Worker 5g (received after working 30 days) will offset most of that 6.54g/30 day month.

Some savings are possible by using the Shooting Range at Q4 with no Training Contract at 51.8/day Strength for cost of 0.044g. The Hard Worker 5g will make this turn positive but at a major cut in Strength. If for some reason you can't afford the Pro Training Contract be sure to skip the Special Forces or it will cost you 1.034g/day.

You'll get Super Soldier 5g every 2.72 days with both TGs and 90% contract.

A Final Thought

I've been accused of being a gold whore (paying for gold). Guilty as charged! I started out with the best of intentions. I played about a year before someone ripped me off. I lost 40g, back then that was a sizable amount. It almost caused me to quit playing. I convinced myself I would only replace the lost gold and no more. Yeah, right.

Anyhoo, I don't promote or encourage anyone to pay for gold. However, if it is in your budget AND you only use cash that would otherwise be used for entertainment (movies, dinner out, etc.) I would recommend using the Infantry Kit. It inhibits (stops) Experience. At first glance that sounds counterproductive in a game but it's important in eRep. The more experience you gain the higher your Division that you fight in. Higher Divisions have players with higher Strength. So if you want to win more Battle Hero’s lower Experience + higher Strength is what you want. Also the Infantry Kit has gold and other goodies.

Next Time

As I hinted above, our next lesson will be about food. Can't do much around here without it. Might as well make it yourself and save your hard earned dough.

Carry on,
