Tommorow`s Barclays Premier League Tips

Arsenal Vs Wigan

This is a game to look forward to. Both teams have to collect the three points, nothing else will do. No room for mistakes by Arsenal and it makes me wonder, can they handle the pressure? They have not played great football lately, but so far, full marks for their mental strength in their most recent games. If being well rested is an advantage, then Arsenal have already won the match. They have not played since their game at QPR ten days ago, while Wigan during that time have faced and lost to Swansea in the league and defeated M City in the FA Cup final. The Arsenal squad is at its fittest, only missing Olivier Giroud and Abou Diaby.
Antolin Alcaraz was back in the Wigan defence in the cup final and he demonstrated his worth. Their winger Callum McManaman impressed hugely against City, while Swansea knew perfectly well how to stop him. He is definitely a key player for Wigan in tomorrow’s game. Jean Beausejour could return for this match. It is straightforward for Wigan. A win against Arsenal and then a home win against a Villa side missing Christian Benteke, then Wigan will remain in the Premiership.
You think I would ever consider backing 1.35 on the home win? Comical odds! Teams tend to get nervy facing Wigan. They know the Wigan history in late season games. Saying that I have to say that bad nerves affected Wigan against Swansea. Mistakes here and there tomorrow, likely over game and why not the upset!

Reading Vs Manchester City

It has been reapeted more than once, Roberto Mancini has not done a good job for Man City this season. And at the end he is set to be sacked. He has never impressed as a coach, not in Italy and not in Manchester despite their incredible league win last season. During this season his players have too often been complacent, passionless like in the cup final. I would be furious , if I was a City supporter, after their loss against Wigan. I mean, if the players are not on their toes in a cup final, then there is no real hope. City will definitely miss the suspended Pablo Zabaleta tomorrow. There will other be changes in their squad.
Reading won their last league game in style defeating Fulham 4-2 at the Craven Cottage and there is no risk that the Reading players will not be highly motivated for this fixture. Hope Akpan, midfielder, could be back for this game, but Jimmy Kebe will not be available this week either. I am close to backing the home win.

P.S.

Yesterday, I have almost won 500 euro`s on one of my tickets. But just because one match (Aalborg - Brondby) didn`t end like it was supposed to, I wasn`t able to celebrate today.
