The Peace deal

Day 1,717, 23:47 Published in Poland United Kingdom by Firefox30

OK this article is going to be short and sweet - I simply don't have enough room in the feed to explain this.

A few people are "complaining" about our peace dead with Ireland, and that we should be doing more to "free" scotland.

Let me try and clear up a few points here.

Q) Why do we have a peace deal that "gave away" our regions?
A) The deal came off the back of us being wiped for nearly 4 months, tbh I never agreed with the deal, but what's done is done. It's actually a region "swap" rather then a give away.

We swapped NI and Scotland for Dublin and Louth, this was allow us to receive a fruit bonus that was otherwise not available to us, this also gave Ireland Scotland to help slingshot them into Scandanavia. At the time of the deal we didn't really have a strong bargaining point as we had no land.

Q) Why don't we have Dublin and Louth now?
A) Teden countries were fighting for Ireland in an attempt to kill the peace deal. It was fairly large Teden tanking that took the regions back from us, and NOT the irish that were hitting hard. Due to the Canadians, French and Germans recent run around ourlands, we have been cut off from these regions to take them back before now.

Game mechanics mean we can only attack a land that borders us, so while we had no land there was nothing we could do.

Q) Why fight for ireland in scotland?
A) This protects the peace deal until such time it may no longer be valid.

Q) Why do some of our DO's say fight for UK in Scotland
A) It's not possible to set the DO to fight for the enemy. Sometimes we fight for the uk for cheap BH medals and True Patriot medals. But ultimately if the battle warrented it, we'd jump over and secure the land for Ireland.

Q) The Irish are attacking?

A) A recent NE, and the "attack" on NEoE, isn't what it seems. We asked Ireland to NE us so we could take back Dublin and Louth, when you propose NE it auto attacks the bordered land, this is a fight Ireland then will "try to lose" which will then swing the balance in our favour and we can go back in for Dublin and Louth (which I expect to be largely uncontested).

So in short the Irish haven't done anything wrong with regards to the peace deal so far - yes there are people on both sides that don't want the deal and will probably fight against it - but until such time the the polititians or both sides decide it's not working it is what it is
