The Fall of Denmark

Hello Norway

The war in Scandinavia continues on between the UK/Germark on one side and Asgard on the other. The Danish campaign should be ending shortly with Sweden capturing the last Danish strong hold, but it is my guess that Germany will invade Sweden again to aid the UK as they have just recently declared an NE on us but more on that below.





Northern Frontier: German Campaign

Norway - Norway's liberation efforts have finally paid off, A resistance War (Step 1) involved the final battle between the forces of the United Kingdom and have seen Norway completely liberate the mainland from enemy forces. Only Svalbard remains occupied by Nigeria which had AS'ed the region controlled previously by Australia.

Germany - After being ousted in Norrland and Sameland by Sweden, Germany began an aggressive campaign on invading Finland, (Step 1) involved securing Lapland and an immediate attack on Oulu (Step 2) After securing that region, they then attacked Eastern Finland (Step 3) but lost their hold on Lapland. Moving to Western Finland they look to take that region as well but a Resistance war in Oulu looks to cut Germany down to only two regions.

Finland - After failing to end the war early in the North Finland has been on the defense since, with four loses in MPP fights to Germany. Finland has though yet to loss a Resistance war though, While Germany attacked Eastern Finland a RW (Step 1) was opened in Lapland taking the region with ease. With Germany moving west another Resistance war (Step 2) opens in Oulu. Currently Finland holds a slight advantage with their NE as Germany has turned its attention to help wipe Denmark.





Southern Frontier: Invasion of Denmark

Sweden - Sweden began the war with Denmark in hopes of draining damage away from Finland and opening up another front for Germany. (Step 1)Ended the war with Germany after Midtylland was captured allowing Sweden to launch an NE proposal on Denmark. (Step 2) involved the attack on Sjaelland which fell very easily, at the same time a Resistance War was started in Midtjylland to block the UK from counter attacking as Sweden invaded the UK in the North East of England losing there after a large sum of CO's had been set. (Step 3) Attacking the Danish held region of Hovedstaden, the city of Copenhagen was captured by Sweden and followed directly with the attack (Step 4) on Nordtylland.

Germany - At the time being focused on Finland, A second front opened on Germany when Denmark came under direct attack from Sweden so Germany placed an NE to wipe Denmark. (Step 1) With the fall of Syddanmark (Step 2) Germany directly attacked Midtylland after it had been taken back by Denmark via RW. I assume that with the fall of Denmark, Germany will aid the UK in attacking Sweden with there own NE proposal.

Denmark - With an imminent attack by Sweden, Denmark quickly responded with there own NE proposal but it was in vain, Danish forces quickly capitulated in Sjaelland but had some more success in liberating Midtjylland on the mainland (Step 1) With Sjaelland occupied, Danish forces dug in to protect the region of Hovedstaden but Copenhagen was quickly surrounded and also fell to Sweden. Now only Nordjylland remains which is the final region to be under attack. Germany occupies Syddanmark and Midjylland.

Looming war with UK

Yes yet again the UK as declared an Natural enemy proposal on us, however reading an article posted by the United Kingdom's CP an NE proposal on Norway had not been discussed, rather it was a lone proposal by a congress member. Never the less it will pass so we have to keep our wits sharp and prepare for another war, our government has responded with its own NE on the UK as well. The article also mentions the possibility of the Netherlands getting involved as well, which should not come as a surprise really.
