the Council of Zen

Day 511, 07:54 Published in Japan Finland by Gabriel Lavanche
Long ago all the elements were mixed together with one germ of life. This germ began to mix things around and around until the heavier part sank and the lighter part rose. A muddy sea that covered the entire earth was created. From this ocean grew a green shoot. It grew and grew until it reached the clouds and there it was transformed into a god. Soon this god grew lonely and it began to create other gods. The last two gods it made, Izanagi anf Izanami, were the most remarkable.

One day as they were walking along they looked down on the ocean and wondered what was beneath it. Izanagi thrust his staff into the waters and as he pulled it back up some clumps of mud fell back into the sea. They began to harden and grow until they became the islands of Japan.

The two descended to these islands and began to explore, each going in different directions. They created all kinds of plants. When they met again they decided to marry and have children to inhabit the land. The first child Izanami gave birth was a girl of radiant beauty. The gods decided she was too beautiful to live in Japan, so they put her up in the sky and she became the sun. Their second daughter, Tsuki-yami, became the moon and their third and unruly son, Sosano-wo, was sentenced to the sea, where he creates storms.

Later, their first child, Amaterasu, gave birth to a son who became the emperor of Japan and all the emperors since then have claimed descent from him

This is how the story of Japan begun. We are here to write that story forward.

the Council of Zen

As many of you know, the Council of Zen, a group of finnish (and some other nationalities as well) politicians, businessmen and soldiers is here to join the life of eJapan. I hereby declare this article to be our official landing to the Japanese media and to the Japanese society. We have grand visions and plans, and as we are no goons, we will make them all public. We are here to help Japan's political scene with activity, we are here to help Japan's economy as workforce and with companies, we are here to help making Japan a safer place to live with our strength and rank, we are here help Japan.

First, let me introduce you some of our internationally known members:

Okkius Pyromanius

I was e-born in Venezuela in the end of beta but moved to Finland when it was under Norway's occupation. In Finland, I have been Congressman, Minister of Information, Minister of Defence, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Minister of Education and the President. I am a politician of reason. I don't make any decisions before closely considering all the options. I am mainly controlled by rationalism and logic and I will try to no let emotions affect my political debating. I will listen to other opinions and take them into consideration, but fight for my own ones as well.

Why I am here in Japan? I enjoyed my time in Finland, but people change, and the fact that Finland does not, was the combined reason I left the place. As a group, the Council of Zen wanted a fresh start from the dusty cabinet of Finland and we decided to head to Japan. I had to realize the cold fact that working your ass off didn't really pay the price in Finland. On the side of politics, I run an iron-mine, write zen-philosophical articles and chill out with my e-friends. I am a fair guy with fair views and man with respect to any other being.

Scadens

I'm an experienced politician and a businessman, who started eRepublik about 8 months ago in eNorway. Within weeks, I became a congressman and the minister of finance in eNorway. Afterwards, I was elected the president of Finland and stayed active in finnish politics as a congressman and minister of finance. In my free time, I enjoy fighting and have achieved the rank of colonel. My companies include mainly food, wood, iron and weapons industries. I consider my economical know-how and international relations to be my main strengths in eRepublik.

Gabriel Lavanche

I'm Gabriel Lavanche, 4 time congressman, 2 terms as a eFinland's Minister of Information, one term as a Grand Advisor of eFinland's president, eFinland's South-American ambassador and I have worked as a consult in political crises at eAustralia and now in eEstonia. All over the mentioned above I'm assistant captain of FC Edistys which is/was Liberaali Edistyspuolue's (party in eFinland) football team in http://soccer.kiekko.tk/

Why I'm in eJapan? Well sometimes you just feel after hard work that you are empty and there is nothing to give for the work that you have done already. I have worked for the developement of eFinland since I came eRepublik and now I feel that is time for something else. Nationalists in eFinland prevent all progress in congress and working there is impossible when their only reason to vote "no" is that you are from different party. So change of view was only thing to do. Why eJapan then and not some other country? Well eJapan is enough far from all ATLANTIS vs PEACE fights and even it's not neutral it has stayed out from the world domination politics. Also the chances here are almost endless and people are multicultural. I wan't to give all my ideas and effort to build up a country without all those national prejudices from real world.

Pete1

I’m Pete1, I’ve lived and had more or less influence in eFinland these last ~7 months I’ve been playing eRepublik. I’ve always been interested in all the aspects of eRepublik and after I had read all the information available from wiki and older players I decided to try my wings in politics. I put all my energy in it and got elected for congress on the next two consecutive terms. I was there a top5 member in according to activity and as a result got elected for the president of eFinland after one third of my second term in congress was over. That happened at an unfortunate time for me since in that very month over half of our normally most active politicians (Scadens and Gabriel Lavanche for instance) were so busy IRL that they hardly had the time to work & train daily let alone to be in government. That lead to Okkius running two ministrys simultaneously while I myself conducted more than ninety percent of our foreign affairs and there was a three week’s time on my term that only 8 new threads were opened on our congress’ forum – all of them by me. You can imagine I was pretty exhausted after that. All the forementioned combined with IKP made me to take a vacation from politics in eFinland’s elite military team, the NTJ. IKP is an eFinnish “national” party. They seem to be a bunch of relatively young players with no interest in politics or economy and think that eRepublik could be played purely as a war game like Command & Conquer or Counter Strike. The party where I made my political career, Liberaali Edistyspuolue (😕iberal Advancement Party), was always a strong supporter of rationalism. It’s members me included have become rather tired of explaining time and again that the game mechanics make IKP’s world conquering plans with low strength low wealth players impossible as they still to try rational thinking and argumenting their points of view. They still complain about how eFinland is boring as it doesn’t recklessly enter a self-devastating war lost before it’s beginning. They still claim there’s nothing to do although we’ve asked them to take part in politics or to try journalism or entrepreneurship.

The reason for my intentions to move to eJapan is my belief to find active and smart people interested in playing eRepublik as a political and economical simulator that it actually is. I hope that together we can make eJapan rise to being of the most remarkable nations in eWorld.

nanton

eFinlands former president (06.11.08-05.12.0😎, the first one after Finland became independent. One congress period in Norway, three and a half in Finland. Also, nanton served in Government as a Vice President one period, at that time he didn’t be the part of the Congress.
He is a founder of Red Jihad-party, long time leader of it too. RJ was (and still is) eFinlands first and only anarchistic party and it was great success in first period of -09.

These guys from our group you will probably spot in the media and forums more often. We have more people joining the act later and we are not finished recruiting. We are an organized group of individuals and each one has his/her own political opinions, but here are few things that The Council of Zen agreed on to support:

* Logic, reason and objectivity
* Free markets with Mercantilism (more about this later)
* A small strike-force under the governments funding and organisation, and global training operations with an extensive national army under the governments organisation and supervision. A well organised army is an important factor in case of an attack.
* The resurection of constructions-business, first by creating a hospital and a defence system companies under governments funding and organisation and then maybe later a decent quality house-factory.
* Creating a welfare-program, first for all government-companies and later extend it if possible.
* As we come from ATLANTIS-country, we will remain pro-Neutral for some time. But it is clear to me Japan belongs to PEACE and it should try to achieve a good foothold in the alliance and participating PEACE-operations with its armed forces.

We are also in the middle of founding an eReligion with a wide network of different aspects. That way we hopefully can bring more joy and interest to the lives of Japanese people and be able to recruit more people to live into this fine and beautiful country. So we will bring culture to Japan on the top of all the other help. We merely ask you that you will not drive us away and you'd recognize us as an political act rather than any form of threat to Japan.

We have decided to merge with Orange Party, because founding an own would probably have been too "hostile" act from japanese point of view. We also support Geno Garon's continue as a Party President even thought we made a deal with him that we vote everything inside the party now on. Geno Garon had a chance to say no to us. Then we would have talked with another party or establish own one. So this isn't anykind of political party TO.

Council of Zen isn't closed group and we welcome everyone that got interested by our plans. We have also IRC channel that is open for everyone. #CouncilOfZen @irc.quakenet.org Now I thank you for your time and stay tuned for the second article from us.
