Agreed, but this deal isn't a bad one. You can't get everything for nothing. That's why they call it a deal in the first place.

Fair enough and if the community does support the deal, I really hope you and the others have a lot of fun fighting anyways. As far as division goes, I think this one won't be bad (unless you guys succeed 😛 but that's putting two carts in front of the horse).

Again, BAD IDEA! Spain having a NAP with Canada will just allow Spain to hit it somewhere else and will return to Canada as soon as it has signed "a NAP" elsewhere!

The "Survey" they're using as a base for opinions is tainted, and so far the government has said nothing about making it more secure. At the moment anyone can vote in it, and for this being a eCanadian issue you would think only eCanadians should be able to vote. I guess that plays into our gov'ts hands though, since they're the ones who want this deal.
I think Canada can do better. Call this a mulligan and start over!
I do have to agree with this statement. Without checks in place how can anyone realistically vote.

Please hold. The survey will be redone with some checks in place then relaunched via a article that will have it very easy to see.
The checks that will be used are "Place your name here along with a random 5 digit password then mail Oinyo that password" (I will link my profile)
If the survey name and password do not match the one mailed then that vote gets deleted.

just do it in an article and have people comment their vote and only count the canadian ones
crisfire's suggestion would make it more transparent for sure. I've lost faith in your administration that this vote can be kept unbiased.
Not a bad idea crisfire but in this vote people would go out of fear and now what they want (Eg. My MU or party leader likes X so I have to vote X or I wont be welcome here anymore). Also this would create a split as people are extremely militant in their views and opinions. This will have to be a secret one as to not start a domestic war. Plus it takes a whole 3 seconds for me to click someone that sent me a mail to confirm they are ecanadian
Although I like the idea of having an open vote - especially in Congress - I do understand the reasoning behind having a secret ballot in the first place and Oinyo does a good job explaining it.
Flashgun, I wasn't a fan of the first poll about leaving Asgard for CoT nor this one on the Spanish deal, or even the original vote to join Asgard, I don't see why we can't trust Oinyo with this vote if he does what he says he does.
One thing you could do, Oinyo, to give it a bit more legitimacy, although it would be a lot of work, is to respond to each person with the number response they have then post the responses without names. That way everyone could check that their vote was counted correctly.
Although I suppose it doesn't stop you from stuffing the ballot with fake people. crisfire's suggestion is the only way to avoid that with any certainty, unfortunately.

To raply to the fake ballot thing. In the end we will count the names on the list I am posting of confirmed people and the numbers of voters on the poll. if they are the same then there was no mixup and everything stands legit.
That's pretty good Oinyo. It's like a voter registry so we can check that no dead people voted. But it would still be easy enough to fake the results if you wanted. Just make sure the numbers add up to 100% this time. 😛
I know it's more work but I really think the only added check we could do at this point would be to give everyone a secret code that only they'd recognise and then post a list of everyone's code and how they voted.

I see most saying they agree for the NAP... don't know if the comments reflect the poll, didn't see any official results.

They are getting them to just vote in the article. Currently 104 No votes and 96 Yes votes, but...since Mininuns said it was a bad deal it went from mostly yes to mostly no 😶

As for whether it's a good deal for Spain, I guess that really depends on how much damage they think they can save if we stopped fighting as fully in RWs (not that we even are: many people (like me) only fight there when instructed to like when we have a chance).
Wither it's a yes or a no, Spain benefits because they have 10/10 either way.
They don't need to even save damage because they can and have bought damage to fully take regions.
Regardless of their motives, having the majority of eCanada back is a good thing however long it lasts, we'll benefit from it.

I think there is a saying that goes something like: insanity is to repet same actions over and over and expect different results. And as far as I see, every attempt to free us was fail. So it just might be a good idea to accept few province, even if only for a month, and see where will it takes us.
