The 124th Platoon "Diablos"

The Training Corps was created in October 2009. Luckily the history of the Training Corps is largely documented because of all the documents Training Corps officers create when they work. So it is my pleasure to present to you a short history of the 124th platoon.

The 124th was created in early January 2010. It is the youngest of the 17 platoons the Training Corps has today. The platoon is part of the Training Corps’ 1st Division which is dedicated to basic training. It is also one of the platoons of the 12th company "Regulars".

The first trainee was placed into the 124th on January 7th 2010. The platoon is now named "Diablos" but this has not always been the case, its original name being "Army Ants". The name change occurred in May 2010.

I led the 124th from July 23th to September 1st 2010. Leading a Training Corps platoon is a wonderful experience. The direct relation with troops combined with the leadership position makes it a very interesting and unforgettable position.

The first commanding officer of the 124th was 2LT Herrn Sterling. He is the man behind the name "Army Ants" which he chose to depart from other more serious names.

2LT Bishop changed the name of the 124th to "Diablos" as soon as he took command on May 5th 2010. Since then, the “Diablos” have been a heavily themed platoon. Their platoon thread was called "The inferno" until February 23rd 2011. It is now called "The Hades". Some commanding officers of the 124th have also been unofficially referred to as "Inferno Boss".
