Some thoughts about the game by a non active player

Day 1,647, 08:50 Published in China Greece by Lemessianos

Dear friends,

In the past few weeks I have been spending less and less time in this game. The reasons were both personal/real life reasons as well as the game itself.

People have spent and will spend a lot of time to develop in this game. So far, someone could develop either through the creation and administration of companies or by regularly introducing money. There are also those that used to ‘play’ in MoneyMarket and those used to trade in product markets. People decide how to progress based on the game mechanics and conditions existing.

However, the game developers are changing the rules and the facts of the game all the time. The results of these changes were the following:
• Those playing in MM between different currencies cannot do this any longer. The existence of different currencies was the tool for those players to spend time, research and do their transactions to earn a profit.

• Those active in trading now have limited options. One single currency for all companies while the existence of the bot makes almost all prices the same for all countries. I expect that one single marketplace would be the result (in this case VAT could be allocated to the countries based on citizenship and import taxes will probably be abolished)

• The use of the bot in the marketplaces which has been buying at lower and lower prices every day/week, has reduced the income generated by companies. It’s amazing how they managed to make Q5 companies to worth nothing as they produce no profit to their owners. So what we do with these companies? Dissolve them (so that we have some gold for training for a few more weeks) or keep them (in case the game changes again)? How can we take decisions on what to do if we do not know the rules of the game? Someone may have invested 100 euros in the game in order to build a number of companies to generate adequate income for his development. What happens now that the game makes his ‘investment’ worth nothing? This is the respect for those introducing real money into the game? Even if someone has not invested money, but has spent 1-2 years in this game and managed to create a number of companies. Now all that time spent was wasted for nothing. And if they chose to dissolve these companies and tomorrow the bot starts buying at higher prices? What then? Who decides how bot works and at what prices it buys?

Personally, I don’t like bots. The work as manager combined with the bots has destroyed the economic module … the only module that had some fun and strategy, some thinking involved.

Nevertheless, the purpose of this article is that, in my view, it is time for erep development team to tell us, what they are planning to do with this game. Either is V1, V2, V3, V100, these changes must end. We need to know what the rules of the game are and play/plan accordingly. We can’t build something for months and then change the rules and destroy what we have been building up. I recognise that some changes helped players to get more gold (q2-q3 training buildings and the true patriot medal), but still the rules of the game should be fixed.
