Short statement: MoFA

Day 2,200, 19:35 Published in Norway Norway by Jasper Zuidema

Hello everyone, had to search for the MoFA banner but finally found it! has been a long time since I have gotten an article out and I thought I'd share a little of what I've been doing as your MoFA, seems strange perhaps as this is my newspaper but I still haven’t gotten access to the org and the next presidential elections are already in 6 days time, sure goes fast!

This was my first time taking on the position and it’s been going well so far, I think I’m doing alright but you can be the judge of that! At the beginning of my term I messaged several countries who we wished to extend a greater relationship with. In the mean time I took the chance to conduct some of my own small investigations when I had time to message the MoFA’s to see what our relations where like and how they could be improved. To give you a sneak peak of what I did I posted a short interview below, for the sake of this articles length I will only include the interview I had with the Irish Minister of Foreign Affairs.

1)How would you describe the current relations between our two countries? Generally good or poor? Is there anything we can do to make that better between our two countries?

The current relations between Norway and Ireland are great right now. Even after Ireland was denied entry into Asgard we still remained close with our allies and really enjoyed helping Norway fight off its enemies in recent months.

2) Is there anything that Ireland would perhaps do in the future to take steps to make friendlier relations with Norway?

I think right now we are doing the best we can for the most part. Fighting for one another on the battlefield is only going to continue improving relations. As far as community goes, perhaps a friendly contest or project between our communities would be enjoyable.

3) What is your countries opinion of Asgard and Norways membership in it?

We like Asgard and wish Norway the best of luck with its membership in it. We were denied entry thanks to one Political party when the alliance was only Sweden and Finland. We moved on quickly and haven't held a grudge. Now we just enjoy playing our part neutrally, fighting for all of our allies, without any limitations on who we can defend.

As a final note, I think it is important smaller nations like ourselves remain close, as together we can commit our full force to each others' battles easier than larger nations. Alone we struggle, but together, we can can make a huge difference in the world. A toast to an improving our friendship! o7

Most of my term has been spent improving our relations over the IRC as well chatting with MoFA’s of several countries, most notable is the Irish who are very welcoming and seemed to enjoy talking for quite some time and have been very helpful in providing advice when I needed it and to help me get a better understanding of how to take on this role.

That is all I have to add for now, been great so far serving as your MoFA for this month, special thanks to those in our November cabinet, been a pleasure working along side you all to help make a better Norway!

Regards
