A division 4 player with 100k strength and Titan rank, can easily earn 15,000 dollars/month in TruePatriot money when the country is constantly at war.
A high strength, high rank player will earn a great deal more from “fighting” than from commercial production. It is suspected that many/most high rank, high strength players are not operating fully built out commercial enterprises.
To the extent that increasing taxes maintains a state of war, the high rank/high strength player receives a much greater financial benefit than “new” players.
“New” players may suffer a net loss from tax increases or a small net financial gain. They bear a disproportionate amount of the “cost” of the tax.
Some “old” players may not bear any part of the work tax but undertake a very burdensome voluntary contribution. The aggregate amount of those contributions is not generally known but is available.
The aggregate number of “old” players who are making substantial voluntary contributions is not generally know but this information is available.
The players who seem to be the greatest beneficiaries of increases in work tax are “old” players who don’t make significant voluntary contributions.
The discussion would benefit from receiving information about how many players, of what strength level, are making what “significant” contributions.
The discussion would further benefit from receiving information about the gross amount which needs to be spent in order to successfully carry on a war.

There was an interest by some of us to work with n00bs. There were n00bs contacted, they weren't interested if it required them to actually learn how to succeed at eRep, they want no tutor. I don't mind spending my time and personal resources to grow competent players. However that doesn't look to be the case. Instead we should allow some low level players to grub out a few cc of profit by allowing a lower WT. This can thus be wasted by them fighting more and losing any advantage regarding Strength compared to other countries who's youth save their damage and build Training Grounds to increase their Strength.
FWIW, building the TGs is also the best way to increase personal income. The gold awarded for Super Soldier medals would be used to upgrade Factories and build RM Companies. You are probably right though, 5 cc per day saved by having a lower WT is more important.

This article's suggests the opposite: you can have a nice WT increase, and an enthusiastic buy-in, if you change your approach.
It appears you have read this article, noticed that it does not contain any clear statement of absolute agreement with your view, infered that it must therefore be in complete disagreement with your view, and moved straight to sarcasm. Okay, but that is precisely the approach which might bear changing. Still, this is a web game which doesn't merit the same kind of effort as real life problems, so no foul no harm.

I would say that your article is very well thought out, you explain yourself well. My sarcasm is directed at the whole situation. An article here and there, honest reasoning of what could be changed and the result thereof is fine with me. There is precious little of that anymore.
My problem is the same old thing, kids bitch. Someone starts playing this (or any) game and they are offended because they do not have the same advantage as someone who's been playing for years. Admin pushes for this politically correct solution, level the playing field.
I don't have an answer that will make everyone happy. Hence the only thing I have left is that sarcasm to sling generously about the room. There was a day when I helped those that would be helped. They were appreciative because soon they were enjoying the benefit of strategy and planning. They advanced quickly and could "do more". No one seems willing to work for a goal nowadays, they want it now and they want it free, without effort.
Don't worry, soon I'll get bored of even showing up to complain.
