Redefining Independent Labour

Day 2,764, 23:04 Published in Ireland Ireland by Colin Fox

A specter is haunting eIreland - the specter of INDEPENDENT LABOUR

All powers of old Eire have entered into an unholy alliance to hunt down and exorcise this specter: the cult of personality and Dictator, eIrish non-socialist "republicans", and the elite capitalist class.

Where is the party in opposition that has not been denounced as "radical" and a "disruption"? Where the opposition that has not hurled back the branding reproach of Independent Labour against the more advanced opposition parties, as its reactionary adversaries?

Two things result from this fact:
I. Independent Labour has already been acknowledged as the #1 political party in eIreland. By all political parties it is considered a major influence in eIrish politics and will continue to rise in the coming months.
II. It is high time that Independent Labour should openly, in the face of the whole e-island, publish their views, aims, tendencies, and meet this nursery tale of the specter of Independent Labour with a manifesto of the Party itself.

That is why, in the last hour of my Party Presidency, I would like to call for the new comrades in the Party as well as the older members to come together and create this new manifesto. From then on the Party will seek to accomplish the goals stated and in full agreement abide by its principles and stated values.

This is not an order, but it is my wish as Party Leader. I would like to step down and allow another comrade to lead. I believe no designated elected Leader should stay in power for too many consecutive terms. We must destroy the notion that only individuals can lead, it takes a community for a e-nation to succeed and prosper. We must begin to reignite the notion that a united, socialist, republican eIrish citizenry can exist again ~ cooperation, collaboration, and national liberation.

Éire Abú!
Saor Éire!
