You know, back in the day, England wasn't a power. They went about their business doing whatever they did back in the Dark Ages. And every now and again, the mighty Norsemen would hop in their dragon ships, take a little sail over to England, and throw a party. By which I mean raping, pillaging, burning monasteries, all while drunk to the point of hallucination on mead. Hell yeah.

Which brings me to my point. The Norwegians, and indeed the rest of Scandinavia, could totally go to Britain and rape the fields and burn the women, if only they had these:
