Plato's Roadmap to meh

Day 3,564, 01:42 Published in Ireland Ireland by Releasethe Krakken

Am I copying Yui. No . Although I did skim over his/her/it/gas's article. It seems to have involved a lot of work 🙂

Its called the roadmap to success.

now success is a relative term. Obviously selling their company for a nice bit of Cutty could be construed as a success. The rats can now safely aboard the sinking vessel. In other words.

Does eRepublik though have the potential to be a more popular game though?
Lets see promised updates versus delivered updates.

Promised : Q6 and Q7 houses

Promised : Perception Training

Promise😛 Local Government

Delivered Updates:

Residences, Holding Companies , Pollution

Now lets look at what still has to be delivere😛 Perception Training

I am already noticing something the amount of energy bars to rank higher up in the Aircraft module would eliminate most players. The tanks are still the people with the higher ranks in most cases. The promised equality never realized.

So perception training when it comes around : would be merely another meh update.

Q6 And Q7 houses - here Plato tied in the other houses nicely with residences so Q6 and Q7 would be built and bought by people and they would employ employees to build these houses.

So this would be a decent update when it finally comes around.

Local Government - the problem with politics is the same as with warfare. You get a couple of very active players that would dominate local government as well. There is no concrete facts about what would be functions and abilities of local government.

Here, in my opinion, might be the dazzle if played right. As any gamer can tell its the intricate game mechanics that keep a player playing.

If Plato merely extends what already there is it will be a meh update.

The problem with any roadmap is it must have elements that are superlative in imagination. In my opinion, Plato should really brainstorm local government.

if not well I cannot really say what would elevate the game to keeping actual normal people. Yes to grind daily at a game takes different players than your run of the mill superficial easily bored player. With residences and cities, Plato has the ability to give players the opportunity to tinker and compete with other cities.

The Moderation Fail

now, what is this? I'm referring to their simple rules about external advertising whereby a player cannot mention another game without incurring a fp point for in their words "external advertisement". Now in context, I could have drawn from a lot of games and mentioned other ideas and concepts they could copy into their game.
Discussing other games could make their game better. Cross pollination in the context of game design.Which does not mean take something from another game and copy it directly into your game more take something from another game and combine it into something new in your game using existing game mechanics.

Well they dont allow it meaning they close their minds to ideas that could improve their game.

Almost like if Hardy gave Srinivasa Ramanujan the cold shoulder.

These are only my opinions.
