Operation Twofold Bay: The Truth

Day 679, 09:16 Published in Australia USA by Ezekiel Thomas

eAustralia is a complicated place. It is a place where a group of roughly 100 actives (no offense to two-clickers but you're not active) pretty much run the show. The majority of people elected to any office run in this circle. But i'm not hating on this circle, I would say I'm probably party of this circle. But I'm saying that this circle has run the show for so long the same way that eAustralia is starting to be hurt by it. Our military is underfunded and is suffering from good people leaving. (Hence why I left the Dropbears to join the eUS Airborne) The economy sufferers from an isolationist policy. And worst of all eAustralia is non-existent on the international scale.

This is what upsets me the most. eRepublik is a game that runs on nationalism whether we like it or not. This was seen during WW3 when a lot of RL hatred for certain countries was displayed. This is a pretty smart thing implemented by the designers, and it has been one of the reason why some people are drawn to this game. But it can also cause's some problem within the eAustralian community. People tend to see this as RL Australia. This is a problem because THIS IS A GAME.

Thats right eRepublik is a game. Whoa! Crazy I know. Its also a game that you can't lose at. Your country may loose wars and regions, but that doesn't mean you have lost, it means you put in overtime, work a bit harder and build it back up again.

eAustralia suffers from this ailment. I call it reallifeitis. We need to take a stand and show the rest of the world that we have some cojones and step up. Who cares if we might not be able to handle WA once we get it. Who cares if eIndonesia retaliates. At least we stood up for ourselves.

eIndonesia is stronger than us, that is a fact. But it doesn't mean we need to pander to them. We need to grow a pair and show the eWorld that a small country can stand up to an empire. And guess what? We will have support. I can guarantee this.

We might get taken over and have nothing left. But eIndonesia's day will come. They can't be that strong forever. If we do get taken over guess what we rebuild. New hospitals can be built. Economies restored.

So I ask you eAustralia what would you rather do? Sit around and do nothing about WA, and use excuses like "Indo's so strong, we will get romped!" or "Economically we can't afford to own WA"? Or fight for whats right and take back whats ours?

I know where I stand. I have a pair and realize this is a game. I'd rather go down in eHistory as the nation that stood up to an empire and fought courageously, than sit at our "masters" feet.
