My Pointless Platform

Day 759, 10:36 Published in USA United Kingdom by Devoid

Honestly, I have to assume that basically nobody reads these. But hey.

Hey. As the title implies, I'm running for Congress in New Hampshire. If elected it will be my 4th consecutive term representing New Hampshire. Before I get into the details about why you should vote for me, there's something I want to say up front. You should not live in New Hampshire. We all love our homestates, but in this wonderful game of ours, states don't mean much. For the greater good of the country, and yourself, you should move to California or Florida, where we have Q5 hospitals which will keep you in top health, and let you contribute to our military efforts. If you need a ticket there, message me and I'll put you in touch with those who handle such matters.

So, on to Why You Should Vote For Me!

I'll keep it fairly short. First, what I've done in my three terms:

- Served on the Budget & Finance Committee
- Worked to complete our current budget
- Responded to a handful of crises that we have faced

- Opposed all tax increases

- Worked to keep America's economic position stable and prosperous

- Pushed to support our allies, oppose PEACE and Peenix, and get our military the funding it needs

Oh by the way, did you see those import tax cuts yesterday? Yeah, those were my baby. Enjoy cheaper stuff, America! If anyone wants to debate the merits of lower vs. higher tariffs, shoot me a PM. In short, we may lose a little in government revenue and domestic companies may take a little damage, but the gains to consumers outweigh it all. Also, if you can't be profitable with 1% tariffs, you're probably struggling badly at 5% too.

In short, I have the experience and the knowledge to be effective in pushing for what America needs. You don't see me trying to jack up income taxes, or invade Britain, or other such things that I know just aren't going to happen or aren't going to work out.

What do I believe in?

- No tax increases I am unfortunately aware that there is no feasible way for us to cut our taxes from their current rates without making deep cuts into essential areas (namely, the military and our alliances). However, I shall vociferously oppose any tax increases. The people pay enough.

- Smart wars, and fighting within our means Without giving too much away, let me say that a victory is hollow if we have to sacrifice our future for it. Sorry Western Australia, but we can't blow out our bank accounts this early in the campaign to save your region. I trust that our military people know what they're doing.

- Opposing imperialism In short, if our Asian campaign goes well, we'll have a bunch of regions. We had best give them back in a timely fashion, unless we reach a lease deal with the host country. I won't stand for us becoming a new Hungary or Indonesia.

Oh yeah, guess what? As of yesterday, I'm the eUSA Ambassador to India! Hail to India!

So yeah. In conclusion, come up to New Hampshire and vote for me! If you have any questions, or need tickets there and back, or anything else, message me.
