My Interview With Kara Beth!

1. When did you first start playing erep? What makes you play?

I started playing on May 24, 2009. I think that's Day 559. I'm not absolutely sure. I found eRep on StumbleUpon. I saved it for later viewing and forgot about it for awhile. Too bad. I could have been even an older fag with more XP.

Right now, what makes me play is primarily my party, my MU and the military module. The AMP keeps me busy recruiting. Cannon Cockers has some fun people in it. The wars are great cause you can fight all day.

Honorable mention: Shout feeds & IRC
I like to spend a lot of time reading and commenting on shouts. The IRC is a great place to spend time on to get to know people better and get quicker reactions to posts and PM's.


2. Why did you choose the FEDS for a long time? And why the switch to AMP?

(Note: I don't capitalize citizen names if the owner doesn't)
I first chose the Conservative Party. I left it when The Dirt On Ajay Bruno was released. It was in the top 5 and Feds were only top 6. It was also in line with my RL politics.
It was Wingfield and citizenslave that drew me in to the Feds. My mentor, Bill Brasky, was also a Fed. Also, federalism (10th Amendment) is something I can get behind and they had a cool avatar.



The reason I stayed there for so long is they kept me busy. The people in IRC were really fun and it was active. It felt good to use my talents and be recognized for them with greater access and responsibility. citizenslave was an incredible PP and eRep friend. We worked together well. He originally approached me to advertise his black market in my newspaper. When I joined up, he found ways to use my talents and teach me some of his. fingerguns was also a big factor in making the party fun to be in. She was a great PP and made IRC fun.

I switched to AMP because the USMJ dissolved after Jude Connors left the game. AMP was a top 2 party and it reflected my focus on the military module. I decided to join and asked to get involved.



3. What has been your greatest moment in erepublik?

My greatest moment has to be when I got elected to Congress as a blocker with 0 votes. Although, my greatest moments have been during my highly profitable fund raisers and donation drives for the Feds and Arm America.


4. What are your thoughts on the current president and our last president?

I have no idea whether or not he's doing a good job. I'll leave that to the political pundits. I was impressed how he got elected by using and deceiving the very people who deserved it. I liked his campaign article, but I couldn't support him based on the allies he had at the time.

Our last CP "seemed" to be in over her head. Her article explaining her term and decisions was helpful in understanding things better.

To be frank. As long as I believe our CP is capable, has the nation's best interests at heart, & and doesn't get us wiped out, I simply don't care who's in charge. It's still fun to support a candidate I like and watch the results.


5. What would you like to see implemented in game?

I would like to know when someone has viewed an ingame PM I sent them.
I want an ingame PM from eRep when someone overtakes me on a BH & CH medal effort.
I want the Day number restored to your eRep birthday in your profile page.
I want work skill reinstored.
I want the ads back.


6. Why the name Kara Beth?

I always wanted my first name to be Kara. I looked up to Supergirl as a kid. Her name was Kara. If I could drop the Beth from my profile name, I would. I like it when people call me KB.


7. Do you think being a woman has influenced how people see you and how you play the game?

Yes.


8. Favorite band? Favorite song? Favorite Movie?

Right now, I can't get enough of All Time Low. The music I like most is bands like New Found Glory, The Starting Line, Simple Plan, Yellowcard, Cartel, All American Rejects, et al.

Right now, my favorite song has to be Weightless by All Time Low. But, I would have to say that Hey Jealousy by Gin Blossoms (real loud) is my all time favorite. On a similar note, I have a favorite cover song too. Check out Time After Time by Quietdrive.

My favorite movie would have to be Back To The Future. I love time travel movies, the 50's, Earth Angel is my favorite Doo Wop song, & the Doc made that movie


9. If you had 24 hours to live how would you spend it?

Praying for forgiveness. I've been a bad girl.
