Musical Memories.

Day 2,576, 16:25 Published in Ireland Ireland by Anthony Colby

Hello all.

Music is a powerful force in many peoples lives. Many big events and some not so big are associated with certain songs.

For me of course is the first dance with my new wife 17 years ago. Also there are certain songs that I will associate with events in college.

But probably one of the fondest is way back in my early teens while traveling to a yearly fishing trip with my father, brother, cousin and neighbor. While listening to the radio The Devil Went Down to Georgia by Charlie Daniels comes on. Our neighbor immediately starts playing the air fiddle. While not as well known as the air guitar the air fiddle is quite an interesting instrument. Especially after the musician has had a few as our neighbor had. Well we all had a huge laugh which ended up with tears being shed as it was sooooo funny.

Every time I hear that song I can not help but think of that moment. It is even more special as our neighbor died a few years after in a boating accident. As I said music is powerful. It creates and inspires powerful memories and emotion.

So what I want to hear are your musical memories. They don't have to be big events. They don't have to be profound. They just have to be musical.

Post away.

Thanks for reading.
