Hey guys,



Just a quick note regarding my platform for CP. Feel free to ask any questions you would like below and I'll do my best to answer them in as soon as I get a chance.



Simply, this term is going to be focused on player engagement. I feel much of the fun has been sapped from eRep, especially in the Australian community due to continuous wipes. And as soon as things went in our favour, Plato up and changed the rules again which got us wiped yet again. We have spent hundreds of thousands of dollars trying to retake our homeland and just to be safe, and all that happens is that we get wiped again and again. This causes some active players to lose interest, and so that is why my main aim is to bring some more fun to the game.

The main method of doing this will be introducing and supporting games within the game. An example might be Ranger Bob's recent E-Pub comp as well as article writing comps and many other ventures within the game (via articles), IRC and within the Forum. I welcome all player involvement for this venture, and welcome any ideas that may be presented. This will all be managed by a new Department (not named yet), and as mentioned, this is purely to increase player activity, retention and most importantly, ENJOYMENT!

There is no point dodging the issue of being wiped. It sucks, we all know it, we all want to retake our land and this will continue to be a focus under my government. However, I am a realist. I know with Chile's current strength where they have put out over 27X the damage we have been able to this month, and we have not come close in any of our RW's to date. We do have the option to spend huge amounts of money on command orders, which would likely make it able to regain a region for a short while, at which point we can continue to pour money into holding that region or we will lose it again. The alternative is working with our allies at TWO and elsewhere to try and find either a diplomatic solution or a structured attack which would allow us to regain our lands. These options may take time, and I am not going to make any promises that they will happen within my term, all I can say is that I promise my team will work towards getting us there so that we are able to secure our future sooner rather than later. This will be managed jointly between the DoD and the DoFA.



This brings up my final thought, and that is a slight change to the DoFA. Within this department I intend to run 2 or 3 (depending on the right people being available for the role) ministers within this department. As part of this, we will be restarting the Ambassador program. Should I be elected, we will position ambassadors around the globe, to increase Australia's presence in international affairs. The ambassadors will be charged with the duty of representing Australia, being in contact via IRC or Forums with the country, will be involved in any negotiations with that country. This is being rebooted for two reasons:
1 - Having more citizens involved in the politics of this nation.
2 - Building closer relationships with other countries.
