Letter from the real Belgian CP: OkayOk

Around October last year, we decided as a Party that we needed to help bring some activity back into Belgium. The country has stagnated for over 4 years under the rule of ATO, a party that acted more like an administrator, rather than a leading party.

We decided on the following as our party goals:

non-Partisan Growth, through safe immigration:
We started seeking players of the eWorld that were looking for a new home. We invited them to join us in Belgium. We never insisted that they join our party. We used the current immigration policy put in place by ATO, and players were vetted by ATO. We started getting uncomfortable with many of the players that they rejected. For instance, the current PTO Minister of Education (Jarabe, who is a hardline member of ATO now) was rejected by CurlyBear because he could not speak great English. I found that this was strange, and it became clear that none of the proposed immigration into the country would ever be approved by the ruling party.

Wed then continued with our immigration policy without consulting the ruling party as there was no constitution or rule that stated that we had to get their permission. We immigrated no more than 5 players per month, many of whome joined us, and many of whome joined ATO. As it became apparent to everyone that we were the party of activity, more people slowly started trickling to HOPE and we we slowly but surly catching up with the ruling party.

The country started growing, and in the public sphere, activity was returning which satisfied our next goal as a party

Strength through Activity:
As a country, we needed to ensure an active citizenry. Suddenly their were articles in the media, there was robust debate about what we wanted to do as a country and there was plenty of activity in Discord.

The great Impeachment:
It was around this time that the ruling party started accusing us of running a PTO, which, according to them included only one course of action, to impeach their own President and let us take over. ASs you would know, any form of PTO is not defended through impeaching your own government. We took over, and started the process of forming a new government.

ATO, now an opposition, suddenly became super demanding but it became abundantly clear that all that they were trying to do is render our government ungovernable.

Then came the next election, one that I think they thought that they were going to win, because they expected us to do a really bad job in leadership, but we did not. The impeachment and the subsequent election, where I won as CP of eBelgium, showed them that their plan had backfired and in fact increased support for our party. They did, however, still have a majority in congress, and were able to still sabatage all our efforts as a goverment to run programs, or to even pay concession fees that were due. All donate laws to our reserve bank were rejected by ATO, and we were in a hard place. We knew that we needed to win over 50% in the upcoming congressional election to ensure that we can continue running as a unified government.

I believe that they could see that we were going to win the congressional elections, and just before the election that decided to com,mit to a coup, and they won.

We have now, even as the democratically elected government, been totally excluded from government. A PTO government fighting against their own nation. A PTO government that has sold its own region to the Netherlands. A pto government fighting against its own people.
