LABOUR ABÚ

Political Party
A political party is an organization of people which seeks to achieve goals common to its members through the acquisition and exercise of political power.

The Labour party has always been on the front lines pushing for change. During V1 when politics in Ireland was domestically fixed, the two largest parties (the IFP & IUP) shared an agenda of Irish neutrality, protecting a class system in the national military & a “republican policy” of yelling insults at the UK hoping to trigger a UK invasion (so it would be 1 vs 1+MPPs which was how eRepublik worked back then).
The Labour party changed that. Labour pushed for a strategy to reunite Ulster to the Republic, Labour pushed for a commune based system of military where every soldier received equal supplies, Labour pushed for a gregarious foreign policy – to pick a side on the global axis.

During V1 I can’t help but remember the IFP & IUP uniting to oppose Labour on so many fronts. When I joined eRepublik despite being approached by members of the left & invited to join their political movement & paramilitary I was hesitant. There was an anti-leftist atmosphere in the community & Labour membership often meant public scrutiny, if you were a socialist you were a threat to the system. A system easily comparable to the Celtic Tiger era of real life Ireland with the Government compromised – it worked in the interests of certain groups.

Despite the many controversies the past few weeks, I am proud today to say I am a Labour party member. In this party we work to make the playing experiences of every Irish citizen better. We offer our members a different experience to what the game mechanics dictate & what our opposition can provide. Why should you receive wage of £15~ when you’re producing goods worth £90? In Labour we say that’s unjust, it only serves the playing experience of the company owner. We counter the system. We give you what you produce because that is what you deserve. We can’t follow every socialist principle but we try to translate as many as possible into this game & make your experience more rewarding & enjoyable.

We will remain isolated & hated because we are differed but that has always been the way. In the last congressional elections we sent out a strong message to everyone. This party means serious business.
