yongyang, December 5 (KCNA) -- Supreme Commander of the Korean People's Army Kim Jong Un, first secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and first chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK, inspected KPA Unit 1313 honored with the Title of O Jung Hup-led 7th Regiment.

He learned about the implementation of the last instructions given by leader Kim Jong Il while visiting the Hero Jo Yong Ho Company under the unit in December 2006.

Going round a lecture room of O Jung Hup political university and a training hall, he learned in detail about the situation of the new year combat and political drill.

He listened to the contents of lectures given at the political lectures and underscored the need to give an effective lecture to service personnel to suit their psychology and characteristic features.

He underlined the need to intensify the politico-ideological education among the service personnel so that they may be trained as indomitable vanguard fighters strong in faith and will.

He acquainted himself with the operation of the training hall of the unit.

If soldiers are to proactively conduct under any difficult conditions and circumstances, they should be well informed of the topography of the region where they should carry out their operational tasks and, to this end, they should undergo intensive training on the basis of concrete information on the enemy situation and steadily improve the training methods and programs, he said.

After examining the operational plan documents, he indicated tasks and ways which would serve as guidelines for mapping them out to be realistic ones as required by an actual war.

Then he guided a gun-firing drill of commanding officers and company leaders and political instructors of the unit.

Stressing the need for the soldiers to become crackshots shooting down an enemy without fail with a bullet and make it part of their everyday life to conduct drills for aiming and triggering, he taught them secrets of hitting the bull's eye.

He went round the Hero Jo Jae Hyon Company under the unit and took warm care of the living of its soldiers as their parents would do.

He had a photo session with the service personnel of the company honored by 19 DPRK heroes and 11 winners of the National Reunification Prize after giving them a pair of binoculars and an automatic rifle as gifts.

He was accompanied by Hwang Pyong So, Ri Yong Gil, Kim Yong Chol, Choe Kwi Hon and other commanding officers of the KPA. -0- (2014.12.05)
