Sir Colin Fox

Dear comrades,

So it has begun the prophesied resurrection of the Old Labour regime, uniting together to form what was once the most prominent leftist party in eIreland many years ago. Here you can read their first party newsletter with their head staff named; An Sluagh as Party President, NomadMKD as Vice President, ian ardbuckle as Secretary General, Hank Scorpio as Spokesmen, Punistick as Councillor, orangejuicemmm as Interior Advisor, and Brian Boru as Party Whip.

When one googles "erepublik labour party" you mostly see pictures of ILP members, logos, and imagery. This is a testament to how long its been since Labour's true revival. Their last attempt didn't meet much success, with the party ultimately being ineffective and changed to another name.

The Independent Labour Party has lost its luster. Since its conception it has lacked a formidable leadership to be a prominent force in national politics. It has always been full of competent congressmen and many of whom are friendly players with a strong sense of comradery. Perhaps that is what has kept the ILP from dissipating into the sands of e-history as another lost left-wing movement.

I would like to take a moment to address that I take great delight in seeing the revival of leftism in eIreland and the efforts for collectivization taken by both political parties such as communes, paramilitaries, etc. I do not address New Labour as a political enemy, but as a political competitor - a rival. In the spirit of e-Socialism, I embrace this new party in hopes that they will work for the betterment of the worker and the struggle of the socialist eIrish nation.

In light of this, I would like to announce my candidacy for ILP party president. I hope I can bring something new to the ILP and eIreland, as in the coming weeks I plan on setting out a grand scheme in which to jump-start eIreland both socially and economically.

'Independent' Labour versus 'New' Labour...which political party will claim the loyalty of the eIrish people?

“Our freedom must be had at all hazards. If the men of property will not help us they must fall; we will free ourselves by the aid of that large and respectable class of the community - the men of no property.” - Theobald Wolfe Tone

Your's Truly,
Colin Fox
