In Defence of a Vendetta

Now that the dust has settled a bit, I thought I'd put my 2pence worth out there regarding the events of the last few months.

I write this article as a former PP of the real New Era and a former senior member of V, as well as having been a Minister in the ill-fated Government of BigAnt.

Now some have said that V set out to steal the Treasury and assist in a serb-led PTO the eUK.

This simply isn’t true.

Going back to the genesis of V, I would argue in hindsight that it was a necessary evil.

Indeed, the eUK was a dystopian society ran by some really nasty ego-ists whose power was entrenched through the extended use of foul play.

Their reign had gone on for too long.

However, in order to beat that monster V had to become a monster and ruthless tactics were engaged in order to match our sworn enemy’s corrupt methods.

Post the illegal and unconstitutional State-backed PTO-ing of New Era led by a madman, a new party was born with one aim – to destroy the old TUP and effect a rebalancing of eUK politik.

no more Mr. Nice Guy

V was different to New Era in its single-minded aim to usurp the old TUPfags from power.

New Era was a party born of best intentions. Vendetta’s name spoke for itself.

In the end, V was successful.

But once Keers and his cronies had left the eUK – what next for V? All of sudden we’d been handed a CP victory in our lap.

Once this “anti-monster” got into power given that our function had served its purpose, things started to fall apart. Indeed, in my opinion, the Government was always doomed in that regard.

We had achieved what we were created to achieve and that was that.

There was however, never any plan to steal the Treasury.

Nevertheless the Government began with a bumpy start.

It didn’t help that when we got into Government, large amounts of the Treasury had been “secured” and many State orgs were suddenly inaccessible, including the MoHA and MoFA orgs for example.

Newspapers were released from personal accounts in order to make do.

The Government marched on with its programme however and the first real article of business was the referendum on Sirius.

Now let’s be serious here – V knew the eUK wouldn’t vote to leave Sirius.

The reality that a majority favoured staying in – despite how we were taken into the alliance – was plain to see in the weeks of argument that preceded the vote.

So why did V go ahead with the vote? And why did we do it so transparently? Why not even try to fudge it (given that we were evil PTOers ofc mwhahaha)?

Well, the truth is ofc that V were never up for a serb PTO of the eUK.

All we wanted was to rebalance a nasty one-sided political scene that was already full of foreign imports used to back up the ruling elite.

With our aim secured, we showed our true colours by putting on a fair, honest and open vote that we knew we would lose. Why? Because we didn’t want a serb PTO.

Indeed, I don’t think BigAnt intended to steal the eUK’s gold when he got into power either and as I say, it certainly wasn’t a plan dreamt up at V HQ.

Given the unfair playing field he was presented with (see above re denial of access to orgs / “securing” of funds), he reacted.

Now if BigAnt had taken 300kcc or so and “secured” it, like Appleby did, until another V friendly CP came along – whilst still not condoning it, I would have understood.

However (despite having arguably been provoked into some sort of response) BigAnt went fully loco and stole the whole lot: the Treasury and the private rented orgs.

But for Dapper, all of BigAnt’s Ministers – including me – resigned in disgust and an impeachment proposal followed shortly thereafter.

The theft of the privately-rented orgs particularly irked me personally, as small investors were directly affected by what was – in effect – an argument with the bourgeoisie.

Bigant was duly impeached and V was PTO’d by a multi.

Having initially been held over in the interim Government of NWG – whose confidence in me I appreciated - I and many others then left V.

V members however continued to show their true colours to the eUK, as when we left V – as many of us did – we could have simply joined the Serbs for UK party and pushed them into the top 5 but we didn’t.

Why? Did we not – famously – want to PTO the eUK with serbs? Then why didn’t we help them?

Because V didn’t want a serb PTO of the eUK.

BigAnt’s comments on the matter in his final article were clear.

We now live in a post-apocalyptic eUK with both the old guard of TUP and V disbanded.

This is the New Era we fought for.

Corrupt legislation is for the most part dead, the forums are no longer the equivalent of running the gauntlet and Keers and his horrible cronies have left us. A new, nicer, TUP has been reborn from the ashes and I for one wish them well.

A resurgent UKPP has quickly risen to be a top eUK party and everyone’s 2nd favourite party, WRP, has finally achieved some deserved recognition by way of congress results.

We, as a country, can now choose were we want to go.

PTOing parties with multies isn’t a great start though.

And whilst you may see plenty of lists floating about in the press – do not be fooled into thinking that only one side is guilty of unfair tactics.

The amount of multis about is simply getting out of hand. If you look hard enough, you can see em. They hide out in places like small MUs like Prinny Squad link – as you can see here:

multies

more multies

too many to fit on the page xD

These guys aren’t serbs and they clearly aren’t V either. I invite you to draw your own conclusions as to whose multis they are.

Essentially, what I’m saying is in this post-V, post-TUP eUK why don’t we try something new and start playing on a level? No more Treasury thefts. No more multi farming. No more foreign imports inflating votes on election day.

Maybe even a little less trolling in the press?

Why not? You never know? It might work out ok in the end.
