To clarify, here are the events leading up to the most recent and an explanation of why they turned out the way they did.

6 Hours Ago – Nebraska. American forces defended the region. Colombia had no attacks left open against the United States, surrendering the initiative to them.

2 Hours Ago – Arkansas and Missouri battlefields. American forces tactically retreated from the regions, giving them up to advancing Russian forces.

2 Hours Ago – Colorado. American forces defended the region. With no regions left under attack by Russia, the United States gains the initiative for the first time since the eUS’s loss in Illinois and Connecticut.

1 Hour Ago – Oklahoma. American forces attack Colombian-controlled territory for the first time this war.

1 Hour Ago – Missouri. American forces attack Russian-controlled territory for the first time since day 663. Russia retreats from Missouri shortly thereafter.

51 Minutes Ago – Illinois. The United States continues its offensive against Russian forces occupying American states. The United States is on the offensive against Russia.

The important tactical maneuver was the American retreat from Arkansas and Missouri. When those regions were lost to the Russians, their only battle open was Colorado. Russian forces lost the invasion of Colorado and then had nothing to do but sit on their hands. The United States took the initiative and invaded Oklahoma and Missouri.
