How can we boost Norway`s population?
Jan Steinhard
As empires seize to form and countries that no on have ever heard about lose population, you wonder if the country your in is gonna lose people and evetnually, fade out. Therefore, we need to also consider investing time and power into making Norway seem like a decent place to be in. We may not have the american spirit or the japanese manga culture, but we do have the power and image, to make people consider immigrating here. Todays question we will be answering is: Can we boost Norways population?
There are many ways but do remember that we are not the most active people in the world. A good way to explain one way of doin it is by an example.
Imagine that we have 10 people in Norway. Each day we get 2 people in to the country. But at the same time we have 3 or 4 people that rarely log on and in the end, fade out. That means we have lost people, rather than gained. How do you compensate this? Well there are two ways of doing it:
1 - Ask people to get this game and start in/as Norway so that we get people dircetly involved in the country
2 - Gamble it all on promoting the country for others
Number two is the option that is considered by many and the best shot in general. But how are we going to do this you may ask? I dont know for certain but there are some things we can do:
1 - Ask a high profiled Norwegian citizen to make a article in other countries asking for civilians (costly, but has a massive effect radius).
2 - Contact the countries leaders directly and ask them to make an pole asking if they ever wanna change to another country which is suitabale to them (rare chance to get accepted, but if lucky, has a gurantee of civilians joining)
3 - Get into the eForums and start spreading the word of Norway and the potential we have (radical ideas like taking over the world and so on) to make it seem more attractive to join Norway
These are the current ideas and if we do all these options we can gurantee that we increase the immigration by at least 4 more people a day (refering to the example with 10 people), which means that we increase with 1 citizen every day. A small, but effective number which can drasticly change the country.
Thats my opinion but what do you think? Should we find other soloutions or gamble it away with other options? Comment your answer down below.

At the moment it's not possible to immigrate to eNorway. No Congress means no cs passes.
Still option 2 is our best option, because people that chose to immigrate to here are mostly active players, while the single newborn player a day all too often dies from boredom in the first week of his e-life.
Nearly reached my first week in eRepublic hahah
Well the 40+ ppl born a couple weeks ago all on the same day still seem to be alive and thriving.
Prob is we can only see after a month of inactivity that a player died.
in other words: it takes a month of inactivity for a player to get the sign "dead citizen".
Thanks for taking my suggestion on an article.
I was thinking publishing articles in other countries but Im not sure if people would like that much. If we start doing that, then others can start doing that to use as well. And as MdR pointed out we have no chance of immigration this month since Croatia went back on their word to us, twice now.
That last sentence of yours is worth an article on it's own. Croats like to think of themselves as honorable.
Oh what an article we could write on "honourable" Croatia. I think we would have to make a series 😛
We know how you like Croats, you invited a bunch of them in eNL back in the day 😉
Support!
It would be best to publish an article in some RL Norwegian newspapers with a referral link of some player so you have a record of new registered players.
Greetings! o/

One of my first jobs in Erepublik was (deputy) minister of Tourism in eSouth Africa. My job was writing articles in other countries to invite people to eSouth Africa. Sadly this just doesn't work and if it does it tends to attract the wrong kind of people.
Engagement is a huge problem, something you see not just in Erepublik but in other (browser) games. From the people signing up only 10% will keep on playing the rest will not like it, forget about it or whatever other reason they stop playing. Most of those 10% will not activly play and be two clickers, you can contact them but chances are you will never hear back from them. You can try and get them involved but the truth is most don't want to get involved if they wanted to they would have.
In all countries there are more people dying then new people signing up and activity is going down everywhere even in big countries. Although I admire the idea's they are in my opinion not feasible and won't work. It seems bleak but it is what it is sadly.
Either way, keep up the good work with your article, voted and endorsed
Thank you for your comment and a pretty realistic example. Although, we gotta keep the spirit up somehow and this is one of those "dreams" that we must keep going as it increases morale
