HEY! ADMIN!

Day 2,717, 13:02 Published in Canada Canada by Thedillpickl

Hi kids!

As the media is dead I would like to repost my comment to J.Canuck's article.

In a twisted way this is amusing. The Admins promoted the dictator thing like it was the best change ever. For YEARS people have been grumbling about the dumming down of the game. Remove the skill levels, fix it so everyone can have companies, make that so simple a monkey could run a commune, kill the media (that did come back, sort of, but of it's own accord) and then they "fix" the political mod. The one last place where people could interact. You'd have to be a dimwit to believe that people are here only to buy gold so they could poke more buttons. Admin, I have two words for you to chew on, SOCIAL INTERACTION!

I enjoyed coercing 65 employees to work first, then fight. I sent gifts to those that screwed up and bonuses to those that worked with me. I spent 2 hours a day answering PMs. I also developed a small network of friends that owned corporations. It was a blast... but then you killed the econ so that it was more fair. It was so "fair" that no one could do anything without buying gold. The overproduction lingers today.

I enjoyed writing articles about various things. I gained some international attention. People PM'ed me to discuss things outside of the game. Again, it was a blast. Then you decided that people could no longer "see" foreign newspapers without really digging. You took the comment alerts away for awhile so no one could tell if there was a reply to their comment. Comments (votes and subscribers) became irrelevant. At least you put comment alerts back.

I started my own MU. It was amazing to me that I attracted people for no special reason other than "they liked me". We did lots of stuff together and again I was helping MU mates just like when I ran my companies. Then that became old hat. Simple "mash the fight button" wasn't enough. Suddenly it wasn't just Romper that intimidated the fight page. He built himself the old fashioned way, by spending hours fighting (yes he bought gold but he also spent time).

Then I started playing politics which seemed to help some in my MU have something to do. We reached our limits in the US and moved on. Switzerland was too easy, too fast and had a bunch of crybabies so we moved to Canada. Finally able to have a little success I broke onto the international scene. Doesn't matter if you appreciated my efforts or not I did change some things. Again, I also had a blast.

Now the party's over. Say what you will Admin but the day is coming that you won't make enough to keep the lights on. Time for the eternal headless chicken. Sucks that I spent so much real money trying to find some fun this last couple years but alas that was my choice. You will have to do a major rework to have any chance of changing my mind. Something you've never done was backtrack but you had better reconsider. Get rid of the dictator mod, it's an anchor around your neck. Try doing some stuff to the econ mod to spice the game up. You want to stir people up and fix a major flaw? Do away with Work as Manager. You've piddled with that using House Factories and HRM.

That's it, I'm done ranting. Not that it ever does any good as Admin only cares about one thing, the bottom line. Unfortunately for all I fear the "bottom line" may be getting thin soon and our free browser game may get dumped.

Kind of my long ass way of saying "I told you so!".
