Hello to the Community

My first article. I certainly have opinions but I lack real experience in what is going on here, so I will keep my own counsel until I have a better idea (There are too many fools loud in their folly already).

This may sound strange as I started playing in 2009. But most of this time I was inactive. When I first started I had no idea -"what is this having to work & eat every day? FFS I do this in real life" I lasted about a week & gave up.
I came back about 6/7 months ago, stayed a while & left in disgust - did Australia have a death wish? - all the garbage posted in newspapers & comments.

But curiosity draws me back. obviously eAustralia's situation is & will always be grave/hopeless. Our existence relies as much, if not more on fostering a true sense of community as it does on clever diplomacy & savagery in battle.

Hopefully the Australian community will wake up to that.

And just quietly, G'day, bonzer, crikey & all the rest of the lingo is fancy dress - who speaks like that outside of Barry McKenzie & Crocodile Dundee movies

Strength is important, so is diplopmacy & a good knowledge of game mechanics. However, I do think that a sense of community is very important.

Well I consider the game interesting & sort of exciting. I left last time through distaste - it just seemed to me that there was a lot of apathy (I am not sure about this- IRC may have been very busy) and the public catfights going on & on.

They never will kerna 🙁 Aus is behind the 8 ball (like Czech republic & Macedoni). Our strength must be in waiting out the hard times till the opportunities roll around.
Just being prepared not to be discouraged.
It used to be that way I think.
