Hello eUK, as my title suggests I am running for Party President in the fine party of TUP. This is actually the first PP candidate article I've done in quite a while so I'm looking forward to running.



About Me

Firstly a bit about me for those who don't know me too well. I am a player who has been knocking around since February 2012, meaning in a few weeks i will have been playing this game for 3 years. During this time I have served in the eUK congress 4 times, along with 2 congress terms in eAustralia and 1 in eNew Zealand. Alongside my work in congress I have worked in almost every ministry going as a deputy of some kind, never really pushing for a full ministerial role. Furthermore, and probably the most important bit, I served as Party President of the Great British Democratic Party(GBDP) at least 6 times and probably more. During my first term I had the task of actually establishing the party as changed from a non-democratic party to a democratic one.

Although it was only a small party it gave me a good idea of what I need to do as PP.



Why You Should Elect Me

Here is what I intend to do now:

-Democracy, I am a strong believer in democracy and I am also confident that every player in eUK can be directly involved. As such I will be setting up discussion groups within the party. These will hopefully provide an area for all members, from the new to the old, somewhere to voice their opinion and contribute to the party.

-Congress, As the largest party in eUK we should continue to have the most congress members. I will be aiming for a well balanced congress made up of both experienced and inexperienced players. The decision for how I will order them will be based on contribution to the party, those who work hardest and wish to put themselves forward will be placed higher than those who don't contribute. However I shall still ensure that we get a good mix and not just the top players.

-Congress pt 2, I would like our congress to also be amongst the most active, putting forward the party's ideas to congress and using their position to better the eUK. If we do secure the most seats we should be making sure we use them and don't just be the voters on laws but the people who propose them as well.

-Country President, I shall run this the way it is usually run. There will be a message that goes out and calls for TUP members who wish to run, then an internal ballot too decide. As the largest party I would like for us to put forward a candidate this month to see what we can do. I plan to do this as democratically as possible and will more than likely use a slightly different voting system, the Alternative Vote, which basically means that every member will rank their top 3 candidates rather than just 1. -Continued Education, Bohemond's education groups, where he has introduced players to different aspects of the game and taught them new things, are a brilliant idea and I would very much like to continue them and if possible expand them.
